Web Design Formatting Help

Hey guys,

Calling all web designers out there for a bit of help.

Basically got a website/minisite that i am ready to add web copy too but i need to center the text on the page.

It has like a blue outline around the website and it is really tough to do.

How do you make a table start at a paticular point in the page?

If i start it from the leftmost side it does not line up correctly - or to make it easier if anyone wants to do this quick job for me i will pay them.

So my question is how can i specify for a table to start at a paticular point in the page.

Chris

You got a .CSS file with the design? may be you've to edit it carefully if you know bit of coding.

Yes, you can start it anywhere (inside the body section).

And the well-kept secret, just for you: webpages can be designed without tables, too

      Thanks,

To clarify - I need the table in the white content area but there is like a colored border around the white content area like a highlight effect and i need the text inside that.

So is there anyway you can specify the start and end of the table and not just the size if you see what i mean?

Actually, that's the problem with this kind of questions (without link, code, anything) - NO, I do NOT see what you see! That's why you will never get a specific answer.

I don't know what is the HTML markup in your page; I don't know whether it uses inline style or stylesheet in the head section or stylesheet in a separate file. I don't know whether your "coloured border" is a background image or simple color border (html).

Asking a good question is half success.

Obviously, your table will start exactly where you put the opening <table> code. But I am afraid that's not what you really want to ask... Most likely you are interested in positioning a table.

Just curiosity: if you already have already a well-defined content area, why on the earth do you need to mess with tables? (Tables are for tabular data, btw.)
