Tech question about wordpress video sitemaps
I'm exploring this issue. I've come to a few conclusions and sticking points.
I'm hoping somebody here can advise me a bit.
1. It's best for getting your videos indexed if you self-host rather than embed
with Youtube (or whatever) right? This way your video has primacy.
2. I've looked at some WP video sitemap plugins and it seems to me they
lean toward self-hosting, which I know how to do.
My problem is the FLV players that I've used successfully on HTML pages
seem a bit unreliable with Wordpress, so I've usually just used YouTube -
but I'd like to move towards being more proprietary with the video
sitemap tactic (so I don't want to embed from a 3rd party video host?)

Must I self-host to get optimum results (search engine primacy) from
video sitemaps? ...or can I bend the issue a bit by using a 3rd party host
and retagging the video as I want it to be indexed on my sitemap? - ie.
uploading the video to YouTube using a different set of keywords.
