CL is cracking down on all spammers and spamming software. Not just the prostitution ones. They are putting a limit on the number of times you can post in a day. I'm not talking about the phone verification thing. This is way more restrictive to IM marketers that use CL.

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - The Web site Craigslist says it will crack down on ads for prostitution. It is doing so as part of an agreement with attorneys general in 40 states.

Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal says the deal will require people who post "erotic services" ads on Craigslist to provide a working phone number and pay a fee with a valid credit card. The Web site will provide that information to law enforcement if subpoenaed to do so.

Craigslist has also agreed to sue 14 software and Internet companies that help people who post erotic service ads circumvent the Web site's defenses against inappropriate content and illegal activity.

    CL has been used by gifting people very often... I never like anything that is not a long term asset for my business. CL is certainly not, so I oculd not care less.

      It might not be a good business asset for you but understand this...there are things that you can do on CL that can propel your business that are scalable. I know this b/c I do it.....

      ...and no...it has nothing to do with erotic services....

    without giving it away, it involves a bit of LEGAL misdirection. Honestly, anyone who is even remotely creative can figure out how to make money with CL. It is just a matter of thinking outside the box.
