Guy Sells Poker eBook for $1,850 makes a Killing

His name is Tri Nguyen. His ebook originally sold for $1,850. In this interview, he explains how he justifies his pricing and why his conversion rate is very high despite the insane prices.

And before you think it's luck, he has gone on to sell more very high priced ebooks as well as videos and coaching. He has become a full time high volume publisher.

Excellent rags to riches story of a Vietnamese immigrant who had to live in one bunk bed for four years with his entire family.

Lesson: if you provide value and people understand that value they pay money.

Some poker language is used in this great interview.

PLO - pot limit omaha
busto - means broke
robusto - means rich

I'm not surprised, poker is one of the few genuine opportunities out there (like internet marketing) where you can make a very good living.

And also have a good chance of becoming extremely rich if determined and focused.

I know many of us have been conditioned into thinking that books and printed material should not go beyond a certain price point, but this just really drives home the point that there is a market for valuable information out there. If the information can make a person more money than what it costs, or solves a very important and pressing need of some kind, people will pay for it!

Indeed, that's why we are no longer in the industrial
age but the INFORMATION age, where information is
    money.

He knows the value of his information and he knows
that people will pay to get access to what he knows,

Thanks for the interview. Tri Aguyen has an amazing attitude. This shows that there is always an opportunity in the information world. He is funny. He had a busto life and friends and never at that time saw any difference. But there is something we all can learn from his attitude.

    Amazing attitude is right.

He talks about going big in Vegas and basically says, you have to believe you're going 8 for 8. The odds won't go that way, but the odds have nothing to do with your mental attitude.

Then he says the same thing for approaching a guru to co-author his ebook.

There's a lot I can learn from that, for sure.

The odds don't have anything to do with your mindset. Awesome.

Pokerstatic is a sick site, some really cool interviews especially Jungleman12 interview for poker fans on here, There is alot of money in poker and in reality there are quite a few winning players in terms of percentage than you might think,

sharkscope is a poker tracking site that tracks results of all tournemants and sit&go's and has the profits/losses made if you type a players name in and they published that about 20%-25% of players are actually winning over 100+ games(which is a small sample)

and the main difference in creating training products in the poker niche is that you cant really lie about your poker earnings to much as there are sites that are freely avaliable to verify it like sharscope so it isnt like the MMO niche where u can say i earn $10k a month heres my guide. so the success of the training product and price will be highly related to the success of the player/players behind it.

I actually play poker part time as well as internet marketing I love the game but its one of the most stressfull things you can do to make money and mental attitude is just as important skill as actually learning poker itself (there are quite a few players that would technically be winning players but have lost thousands because of mental attitude).

theres my little off topic rant :-)

Ye, I'm selling the $1,000 ebook at my site the, it's called let there be range (LTBR) btw. The thing with this book is that while it is indeed expensive, it's target market is high stakes players in $3/$6 cash games who can easily afford it. This isn't exactly your typical free ebook give away.
