Same here after I went through the usual sea of offers that Go Daddy bombard you with I could only pay by card. Still a good deal though. Thats the only time I use Slow Daddy is when I get a good like this otherwise I love the super fast no hassle namecheap check out.

I've always had decent speed with them. I do have to admit my site isn't too bandwidth-intensive though, so I've never really put them to the true test I suppose.

On .99 cent godaddy promos they do not allow use of paypal accounts I am assuming due to high risk of fraud they choose to only allow the use of credit or debit cards

All other promos besides .99 .com promos

I believe they are limiting this deal to first 10,000 registrations or Oct 5, whichever comes first.

    Thanks for the info.

Although I am no longer a fan of Godaddy as I used to be in the past.
But it's good to take advantage of promotions like these and later transfer your domain to registrars like Namecheap.
I like Namecheap because they offer Free Whois Privacy and other advantage like Free email redirection.

Another good registrar many people don't know about is InternetBS
Domain Name | Internet Domain Registration | Register Domain Names
They also come with Free Whois Privacy and Free Unlimited Email Redirection.
Their support service is also quite good.

    Great Success To You,

GoDaddy has excellent phone support. That more than makes up for having to pay a few bucks for whois imo.

Wonder if you have to hold your nose a certain way - I just tried the FALL99 code and it didn't work...

But now that I think about it, I also can't say with absolute certainty that I haven't used it before today I buy too many domain names...

Reading below will give you an insight to a newbie approach to getting a good deal!

Some of you will laugh, some of you will cry!

I'm a true believer of "If it's too good to be true it usually is!"

Just tried the code in the cart and for me it didn't work no biggie though i thought id double check terms and conditions (as you do), then i noticed an offer on the site which read that the 62p offer was still on whoo hoo (read the really vague instructions on how it works, wasn't clear but hey what can go wrong) It said that i would see the change in the shopping cart! bit vague but only a complete narner could fook this up!

I then, Followed all the options clicking, no thanks! cart please, no thanks! cart please NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! CART PLEASE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! (then cried a little)

Then still no change from £7.67 in the cart,

I then had to accept the terms browsed through them, no mention of special offers or how you go about getting the thing to work.

So like all idiots just itching for good ol' steal I Clicked place order expecting a final warning that i was going to pay money, but no!

    Thanks for you order!

i'm now in the process of complaining but doubt these school yard bullies will hand me back my dinner money!

I must have been customer 10,001
