Domain Name Evaluation

The more time that passes, the harder it gets to find good, available .com domains.

I think it would be nice to have a name evaluation/feedback subforum.

What do you think?

There's really no point in having a domain 'evalution' forum as domains are worth what any buyer will pay for them!! Of course you can check other simple domain sales and different tld's but you still need a willing buyer.

I'm not talking about cash value per se, general, subjective value.

      Is it cool?
      Is it brandable?
      Is it SEO friendly?
Does it relate well to a niche?

Basically, is it good? Does it have potential?

I realize that a lot goes into the ultimate, real value of a domain, but surely we all have a reaction to a name when we see it. I'm sure most of us have run to the computer at one time or another with what seems like a great idea that we can't help but think has a chance of being available.

I've seen a number of threads along thse lines and I think it would be nice to segregate those discussions.

Actually, I'd rather that it not be about dollars.

It would gather dust. Most people don't read the subforums very much. Got a question about domains ...just ask it. Someone is likely to answer

I guess it depends on how people use the forum. I usually start a visit by clicking "new posts" so I see all activity.

I agree...Just post and get an answer. Domains really unless generic will always have a diffrent value from the next person. If the domain fits your business plans then the price and other info really dont matter. You will be turning the domain into something with your work and seo after anyways.

No more are the days of buying an old domain and taking in all the past results from that domain (not all the time any ways) there still has to be new work done once you build it out!
