Question about EMAIL List.

Hey guys, I have a bunch of products I want to market with through an email platform. Problem is, I don't have much emails to market with. I was wondering if you guys had any reference/suggestions or even a place where I can get 500k-1million emails. I've looked on google and there's a ton of companies who offer this service, but a lot of them seem shady. Either their website looks unprofessional or BBB list them as uncredited businesses.

    I advise you to build your own list from scratch and Not buy your one. Build your own by creating targetted traffic and directing it to a squeeze page in exchange for a free report.


    Your own list building slowly is better than purchasing a huge list of usually untargetted traffic from companies.

    Build your new list from scratch, we were all there once upon a time (with 0 subscribers).

    Generate traffic using PPC, article marketing, ebook distribution, forum marketing, SEO, blog marketing etc.

    Don't bother buying email lists.

    They are mostly out of date......and they will not be targetted.


    The response rate will be too low to see any return on your investment.

    They look shady because they are.......grow yourself a proper business...
    not a list you can spam.

      That is a great advise, buying a list of people of which you have no clue what their interest is and without any relationship to those people will definitively not help your business, if not even get it labeled as spam.

      Building your own email list, where real visitors subscribe and they KNOW why they subscribed is a completely different story.

    Unfortunately, the others are correct, buying a generic list and blasting out to it will get you into spam trouble.

    There ARE legit mailing list providers, but they DO cost more than you may want to spend. Cheapest I've seen start at 100 bucks or so and are reputable. One example that I've used is infousa.com (no affiliation). You can buy lists based upon specific criteria.

    That said, realize that it's the equivalent of a cold call on the telephone. Don't expect to see your inbox flooded with orders. Use it as a first touch to the potential customer and follow-up carefully, preferably by phone or in person.

    If that doesn't fit your model, your better to head down the list building path and maybe offer your product through a Warrior Classified or WSO.
