Needing Affiliates For My Site - How?

Hello!

New here to the Warrior Forum, wish I had found this resource many months ago! So I hope I have posted this at the correct location.

I just started a new affiliate program for my website, and was curious as to how to recruit for it? I of course have it posted on my site, but I am sure there are some better ways to alert others to it.

I am new to the affiliate marketing, and I am all ears on how to do it right!

Any thoughts, feedback, or interest would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Matt

  • The slow way is best. Make contacts and talk to other marketers in your niche.

A lot depends on what niche you're in. If you're in the internet marketing niche, then your customers can be good affiliates for you (as most internet marketers buying information have - or strive to have - lists of their own).

For other niches, generally customers don't understand how to promote for you, and often even offering that option is a mistake. That's when you need to carry out legwork to be successful.

My products are antivirus and spyware protection software items.

I build my own software... Not a reseller.

Are there specific sites I should look at in recruiting?

one option to get started is to list your product on a network like Clickbank or PayDotCom.com. Clickbank is by far the largest affiliate network and you will get affiliates from them. The problem with that is you do not know who the affiliates are.

Because Clickbank handles everything they are just people selling for you without a name or face.

If you are looking to do the instant payment option with something like Rapid Action Profits then be sure to list the product on site like RAPBank.com.

That will get you started. For the long term, search for blogs and forums that talk about anti-virus and spyware and contact the owner and see if they would put up a banner. Give them a copy to review and see if they will paste a review on their blog.

I will check into those you mentioned. I have heard of Clickbank, but didn't know exactly what they did... I have not heard of the other two, but will definitely check it out. Thanks again!

Yes, that is an interesting concept... I may give that a try! Thanks John!

Also, is there an optimal place I could post a request for here on the Warrior Forums?

I am looking for more of an Internet Marketing expert versus a software or security person.. I have those places covered...

I almost would like to have a partner that could manage the affiliate/product promotion side...

Thanks again everyone! Great info I am receiving here!

Do you have a specific affiliate page?

Also you haven't updated your profile here yet, that can drive hundreds of hits to your site as you become more active.

Lastly why not run a WSO to get some warriors onto your list who will then spread the word about your software.

        Hope these ideas help.

          Hi Andrew!

Sorry, I haven't completed my profile yet, just signed up today.

I have a specific affiliate page for my website, but I can't insert a link to get input until I hit a certain number of posts I believe...

I had originally inserted the link to get feedback on my program and make sure I had it setup correctly.. If you Google "proactive patrol" we are the #1 hit, then our affiliate link is at the bottom menu.

I have had a hard time justifying spending a ton on recrutiting, as we try and focus our sales proceeds towards our K.I.D.S. Grant (more on proactive patrol website). I am hoping a 34% commision rate is feasible to recruit affiliates.. I do not know the going rate to build a sales force. We are new, and just trying to get the word out about us better, and a affiliate program may be our best bet.

Going to update my profile now! Thanks for reminding me!

Pardon my ignorance as a newbie, but what is the WSO you speak of?

It's a warrior special offer, there's a whole section of this forum dedicated to it, and it can generate a ton of buyers for you.

Remember to read all the stickies at the top of the section and then pay your money to get that killer offer in front of people.

Hmmm... Have been researching... What other websites exists like ClickBank?

Wasn't sure what the "best" one is out there for affiliates?

Or one that others are having the best luck with...
