    The hardest part is growing your user base, and the #1 reason why most social media sites ultimately die. 5,000 -10,000 or even 100,000 users isn't going to cut it. You need massive exposure and a strong ACTIVE user base in order to attract top advertisers.

    Personally, when just starting out I would look at adsense and other smaller media buying networks that you can get into easily. Heck plenty of fish up until very recently did not have their own advertising network and monitized their site strictly through Google and made a fortune.

    It would help opening it to us 6 billion non US though.

    Just wanted to check out your site and got a geo-discrimination. I thought the first w's in www was supposed to be world wide?

      because this is a free website... advertising traffic doesn't exist out side of USA, Canada, UK and Australia... at least not at the levels im interested in...

      to open it up to the ridiculous amount of spam bots and fake accounts that get created from allowing "world wide" access.. just isnt worth it at this time..
