file extension problems

Hi
Couldn't find where else to ask about this.
I run on XP but of late cannot open any software programs and i keep getting a program called filecure telling me i have 81 file extension problems.
.exe seems to be a major problem.
Does anyone know a registry fix for free .

    I did a search on google for it looks like you can remove it from control panel>add/remove programs. Careful though...most of the sites that have info on removal point to warez sites. Have you tried checking for spyware, trojans and the like? That's what it sounds like to me.

    You have been a victim of scareware. These are programs that falsely inform you that you have problems in registry and they ask you to purchase their software or leave some spyware on your system.

    You should better get registry mechanic and repair your registry to get rid of this issue.
