Hey Warriors,

I am brainstorming some possibilities for a domain that I own and was hoping you could share some ideas that pop into your heads...

The domain I own is HostHater [dot] com

I think it's pretty catchy but I'm trying to figure out the best way forward.

    Err...Sounds pretty nice.
Will suit a site that gives information about the -ve points and loopholes about webhosts.
It can be like a webhost review site but only that it will provide negative reviews.

When you want a new webhost you may look for good reviews, but people do look for negative reviews too so as for them to get a reason as to why they shouldn't go ahead with that webhost.
    Just my 2 cents.

HostHater would have a broader appeal to folks who love to go to parties and trash the host behind their back after the fact.

With everyone having cell phones these days, having a site where people could upload videos (somewhat spiteful, no doubt) of parties they went to and captured unflatering videos of the host/hostess, the venue (house/apartment), etc, may have broader appeal then catering to internet marketers.

There's millions of them and only thousands of us.

Who knows, maybe you could become the Muary Povich/Montel Williams in the HostHater niche...

Or you could save your energies and find a better domain name/concept to promote...

      Just sayin'.

    How about this?

Hosthater.com can be used for those who hate (web) hosts. So they are consisted of people like bloggers who only use free wordpress blogs... This will be a platform where all the free bloggers would gather and talk about how bad hosting users are and make fun of them... huh, .. what the heck am I saying? Think i meeed to hit ghe bed soonnnnnnnnnnnnn....

    Goodnite...

Hosting reviews. EVERY host has a bunch of bad press out there.

If you put the right twist on it you could have a really great review site for web hosts.

Make sure you keep it original though, you need to brainstorm about the theory of hating hosts and think of ways you could use this to your advantage when you give reviews on hosting packages.

Building your business on the word "hate" is probably a bad idea, no offense. Constructive things and words are always better than destructive ones.

Powerful name. I'd go with the party idea, though, if you can build the following - seems like people love spreading more negativity than positive these days.

I concur a site that reviews web hosts would make sense. The tough part would be monetizing it. Maybe endorsing hosts as an affiliate that are rated well.

personally I think I would sell some hostgater hosting packages from that domain. One way would be to redirect it to hostgater directly. Another would be to simply build a squeeze page to capture emails of possible buyers for a hosting package then sell them a hosting package or domain package in the email series.

Honest reviews citing the down sides of web hosting companies.

Not a hosting review site, but a negative hosting forum. Something like "ripoffreport" but a live forum (if you have the time to moderate it). Run Affiliate ads to top notch hosting companies. And run adsense code throughout. As you get bigger do private ad sales, spin-offs. As for the bloggers, give them their own section so they can still feel like an elite group. Allow hosting reps to respond to allegations(this will help generate organic traffic and maybe help improve host's services). Have a section for hosts to promote their programs. SEO it to get it to the top of the serps and you have a winner.

    Just a thought.
