Tricks to Get around Google's squeeze page policy...
But I have a theory..I believe that internet marketers are smarter than Google. And as always we will find loopholes and creative ways to overcome obstacles such as this. Its what we do.
We are one of the few creatures on earth that can look at a bleak situation and see an opportunity in it. Its what makes us entrepreneurs. And, I see no reason why we cannot figure out a way around this.
And for those that DO they will certainly make a butt load of money considering all their competitors are getting BI*** slapped!
So who wants to join me in brainstorming some ideas?
Here is one idea that Ive been playing around with in my head lately...
What we know for certain that what google wants is CONTENT for their users...
So what if we offer their users so much content UP FRONT that it literally blind sides google!
Here is what I mean...
Step 1 What if we build our website just like google wanted..with articles/content etc etc.
It didnt look at ALL like a squeeze page..In fact perhaps it just looked like a blog (from what I understand blog sites convert pretty well because people trust them).
Step 2. Secondly, instead of asking for their email..What if we gave them a link to a DOWNLOADABLE report or a video at the end of the blog article.
Step 3 THEN at the end of the report or video have a LINK to the optin page which would be on a totally different domain. Also using NO FOLLOW tags just to cover our butts.
In theory this could be enough steps to shake off the tail on our butt.
Their staff is only going to spend so much time reviewing our website, and I doubt they are going to review all the sites we are linked to much less jump through all of these steps. BUT your target market WILL jump through h these steps IF you give them good content!
Objective:
Now you may say "yes but 3 steps is a lot to ask our subscribers to go through and optins will decrease! Well actualy its only 2 steps if you dont count the article thats already on the page when your visitors hits the site.
But having said that I still disagree. Tons of testing have proven that giving lots of content UP FRONT before you ask for the email actually increases optins because you have built so much trust.
So in theory this method could actually INCREASE your optins..Now would it be better to have all the info on one page without asking your client to go through the extra step...perhaps...but is it worth doing this to get that google traffic?...YES
Even if you DO lose just a small amount of optins because of this extra step, you can make up for it in other ways such as increasing your backend products, or increasing the conversion rate of a number of other things.
Also, keep in mind that because you are offering all of this content up front, rather there is a small decrease or not your list is definitely going to be more targeted!
This is just one idea. Feel free to share more.
I really believe that whatever solution we find... its is going to have to be something in this order so that the squeeze page appears NOT to be associated with the domain advertised in adwords or at LEAST not detected by google but accessible to our target market.
What we know for certain is what google wants for their users is CONTENT...
I say give them so much content that they DROWN in it!
Ideas?
