Online Dating - What are the margins like?

Hey guys, I've been reading a lot on WF, but this is my first time posting.. I am currently looking for a new niches to expand my business to and was considering online dating as one of them. I noticed a few programs out there, such as Zoosk and Match, offer $3-$5 USD per lead; what are the margins like for an affiliate when his ad campaign is optimized?
I'd greatly appreciate if someone could share some info,
Regards,

Mark

  • I used to do a lot of it (I don't have the stats) but it wasn't bad. People don't keep their memberships as long as you think though.

    • Hey Spenny,

Thanks for you reply.. What's not bad? Rough estimate, 5%, 10%, 20%? I'm trying to evaluate the initial risks vs. earnings of entering that space.

  • Dating is getting saturated. You have to find the newest fad site of the day to keep your margins. Although there are new surfers entering the arket everyday, the generational shift of what they are looking for is amazing. It's highly competitive so do your homework and get ready to be very busy trying to stay on top of things.

BTW: My margin is 30% but I had to do a major shift to keep it there. It used to be higher back in 2003 but things change.
