Does mouse-over buttons increase optins?

Does having a button that changes when the mouse moves over increase conversions at all?

I feel like this is something that people respond to when clicking buttons...

    There's only one way to find out, test it. I wouldn't think it would have much of an effect as the goal to begin with is to get them near clicking it to click so you need to focus on getting the click first anyway. Call to action with a benefit in the box, orange button with blue letters, that's hard to beat.

    Do you want optins to a autoresponder or buy buttons. I can't tell you much about buy button improvements but using something like the Aweber Hover Lightbox increased optins for me by more than 55%

    I suppose that will help to encourage the customer to click the add. Give it a try to see if there will be an increase on the count of clicks. There's nothing to lose anyway right?
