Amazon Affiliate Link - How To Get Particular Product Color?

Hi,

I want an Amazon affiliate link to a dress on Amazon in red color. The only link I can get is for the product as a whole, not a particular choice of color of the product.

Anyone know how to tinker with the code to get it down to the color choice of the product? Thanks.

    Hi Max,

    If you log in to your Amazon Associate account and then without logging out go to Amazon.com and then find your dress there you should have a "Associate bar" at the top of your browser and then click on the color you'd like and then click the "link to this page" button on the Amazon Associate bar.

    This way I have been able to link to different colors/versions of products.

    Sometimes you might not be able to link to different colors and what I do then is that I just search Amazon to see if someone else sells it or I write in the review or post that the link to Amazon is going to be in... "Click here to see the new colors of the bla bla model".

      Hey, Jute,

      Thanks for the reply. Tried it but unfortunately the link I get from Amazon doesn't take me back to the original color. What I did - I selected black for the dress color, the dress image changed accordingly to black on the page, I then got the Amazon link by clicking the top. When I plugged the URL back into the browser, I get taken back to the default dress color, not the black one.

      I half figured this out just now. I specifically search for that black dress in Amazon's search box, and I then get the Amazon link for that results page, which shows the black dress as the first item. When I plug in the URL Amazon gives me, voila, I get the same search results page back, with the black dress showing up as number one.

      That's as close as I can get.

      I emailed Amazon yesterday about this, no reply yet.

      Some good programmer will probably be able to write a script I insert in my Amazon hoplink to make this work, but as a newbie, I won't go there just yet.

    Hi, if you follow the process that Jute explained and get to the specific page you want to link to with the right color and click on "link to this page" and click on "text only" radio button, the code will show up below, copy the url that is between the first set of quotation marks(" ") in the html code, this url will contain your affiliate code and will link directly to that specific product page.
