Question about emailing a merchant

I need to email a couple merchants that I saw on kijiji but the email address is confusing.

The email address for one says email to... mailto:'mike.mannara@hotmail.com'.

Another is a another hotmail address and it has the word mailto in front of it too.

When I email this person do I send to mailto:'mike.mannara@hotmail.com' or do I send to... mikedotmannaraathotmail.com?

I dont know why so many email addresses on kijiji have the word mailto in front of it, maybe someone could tell me.

    To "mike ... etc." (without the "mailto" bit).

    People have put it in as HTML or BB code, expecting it to appear as a clickable link which opens people's email browsers when clicked on, but it appears not to work that way at Kijiji, and the words "mail to" have appeared unintentionally.

    Hi,

    Yep, Alexa is right -- the "mailto" thingy is just HTML code that got dropped in there unintentionally.

    BTW, now that you have your answer, you should edit the email addresses out of your post. The spam bots will pick it up here and the recipient will be inundated with a flood of spam from here on out.
