How to auto create wordpress account with Clickbanks

Hi,

I was wondering how I could have wordpress automaitcally create my buyer a wordpress account once they purchase my item through clickbanks.

I order a dlguard. But i can't use it to auto create wordpress account with Clickbanks

i also want to know other wordpress membership plugin can do it?

I know some of the Wordpress plugins advertise protecting your wordpress blog content with DLGuard although I've already done that with coding but would like my members to have a wordpress account automatically created for them so they don't have to login to my members area with their DLGuard info and then create a wordpress account to comment on the posts.

Thanks

Interesting thread, I'm curious to see the responses.

Just earlier today I had added a note to myself to code exactly this functionality into a project I'm working on. If there is already a plugin out there that does this it would save me the trouble.

Otherwise I was just planning to use the data ClickBank sends in their payment notification to create a new WordPress account.

Sorry, can't find anything. There is nothing coming up for that on google, plugin sites, or some of the boards I use. I guess someone needs to write it?...Maybe Bill will write it!

Should be a fairly simple thing to do as Clickbank has an Instant Notification Service that notifies a URL you specify of sales, chargebacks, refunds.

Could set up account on successful payment, change the password or delete the account on refund or chargeback.

Yes that's exactly what I was considering Steve. I have already written a simple application to get that ClickBank post and store the results in a database. I also have another application I made years ago that created WordPress accounts (in this case it was custom code for a tutoring site). So I figure putting the two together should do the job!

You could also do something similar with PayPal's IPN if you weren't using ClickBank.

That's a good start, definitely. You'll just have to figure out all the Murphy's law stuff like duplicate usernames, that sort of thing.

Glad you're doing it cuz I just didn't feel like it
