It could be either something you did that you no longer spend much time on yet are still reaping the rewards years after.

I have some residuals coming in from membership sites I promoted years ago.

If you want this type of income, promote membership sites. A member can be worth hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

  I don't believe in residual income concept .... Have tried to be part of a few .. but they are way too expensive to experiment with ... if you know some really good ones do reffer ... so we can check them out

  Promote essential services like autoresponders, web hosting etc. These are services that once people are happy with, they won't move to other providers.

  My best tip is to concentrate on "Evergreen" or timeless topics. Whether you're creating content websites, books, newsletters, or anything else: If it doesn't rely on trends and fads, it can keep making money endlessly.

  Writing an article and having it stay on the first page of Google works pretty well. Having an article stay on the top of "Most Viewed" for that niche also works well.
  
  Building a responsive list and sending out weekly e-mails is almost "passive" and works well.
