How to grow someone else's business?

Hi,

I'll try to be brief. In my professional niche there is a company new to online marketing. They have set up an online
membership site which is probably the best quality and value for money product I have seen in a sub niche of my niche.

I am very happy to promote this as an affiliate but at the same time believe that I can do an awful lot more to help them
expand their membership. At the same time it would of course be nice to earn some reward for the efforts.

They do have an affiliate program in place but they appear rather inexperienced in this form of promotion. They are not offerring their affiliates anything to help or encourage and probably inadvertantly doing quite a lot to put them off.

In essence my initial thoughts are to approach the company with an offer to effectively become a master affiliateto recruit other affilaiates for them and provide a wide range of tools and backup for the (sub) affiliate. Examples of tools
to be provided would be eg autoresponder content, sales pages, branded ebooks, brandable leaked chapters, classified ads etc.
I do have to tread quite carefully of course as they may see me as a competitor.
My question is more of a technical issue. I'm not sure whether it's a script issue or programming issue or not.Say i wanted to be paid a 5% override of all affiliate sales that I had recruited does anyone have any experience or ideas on how to set things up to achieve this please?

Many thanks for any input.
Regards,
Paul

You need a two tier affiliate program to manage it.

James is right. Further more, you need some kind of payment processor, since PayPal is decidedly against two-tier models.

Check out JVManager by fellow Warrior John Delavera (SP?). It's (by all accounts) an amazing product and will do, I think, pretty much everything you need.

Thanks for the replies, very kind of you.

As it's a UK professional niche there may be a little reluctance to a two tier programme where all affiliates can recruit down one level as it smacks to some as MLM. Personally I haven't got anything against MLM but I know a lot who have. I was thinking maybe of a kind of master franchise type position. Would JV manager would deal with this type of scenario?

    Thanks again,
    all the best,
