Google CEO Interview With Charlie Rose!

Last night I watched an Interview Charlie Rose did with Google CEO Eric Schmidt and it was really interesting to say the least.

For instance, Google is coming out with Google TV which will enable us to turn on our TV's and instantly have a web browser to watch movies and surf the net etc.

This will open up a whole new app industry because now people will start to write apps for the Internet TV which will make many people a lot of money.

In te coming years there is going to be so much opportunity for us IMers to profit from it's almost scary.

Your thoughts?

Only those who are forward-thinking and capable of tapping into the new markets will find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...

Many people will miss it, because they may think it to difficult a challenge...

This Eric Schimdt guy seems to be so smart. He even advises for the Obama administration and the amont of data he has to his disposal is just mind blowing.

I got slapped from Adwords and for that reason disliked them but after watching this interview I have a new kind of respect for Google even thoug I still think they can be an Evil Big Brother.

      Cheers

        Great interview.

Interesting, that the future may entirely move away from a pc to television alone. I guess, it's inevitable.

I wonder, when computer screens and keyboards are no longer needed ?

That could hold true for certain niches such as home entertainment, but there will always be a need for PCs (processing power; studios, physical servers, gaming machines, etc)..

Anyone thinks Google's going to take over the world one day?

In the year 3000 when we have flying cars and teleportation portals, I won't be surprised if Google is behind it all.

Google will not succeed. Their track record to be honest does not bode well for them in the future. Apart from search, they have been unable to come up with anything tangible, and that is not from lack of trying. If I am frank I don't want them to succeed, they are more of a bully in the search engine/ internet space than Microsoft ever was in the OS/PC space.

Integrated Smart TVs have been around for quite some time now. You also have the online and app functionality of the Xbox and PS3. AppleTV doesn't do too bad either...

Google is playing catchup, not leading the way.
