I'm A Novice Who Needs Help

Hey guys.

There's a ton of free value on this site but I'm honestly overwhelmed.

Much of the terminology is foreign to me and I am not sure where to start.

I know that I want to do SEO and focus on marketing industries and products through a bunch of simply laid out sites with persuasive writing.

First of all you need domain names for your websites. Have got already any? Secondly, you need a webhost. I recommend Godaddy - they have good customer service and stable servers at a relatively reasonable price. The best would be a basic or premium hosting plan on a linux server, which suits most applications. I swear by Wordpress - one of the best platforms for creating a professionally looking niche site. If you give me more concrete details about your enterprise then I'll be able to give you more advice.

Use Hostgator as your host. You can use the code "404page" to get the first month for a penny.

Godaddy is absolutely the worst host ... hostgator and hostmonster, bluehost ... all much better. Hostmonster and Hostgator have excellent customer service and you can host unlimited domains from one account. Not so with Godaddy.

To give you an idea of Godaddy customer support for hosting Wordpress blogs, I called them when I had an issue with a customer's blog that I was trying to install. Their response: We don't support Wordpress. End of story. Bye.

For your original question, it sounds like you want to do niche blogging. I recommend Market Samurai or Micro Niche Finder for keyword research. Research keywords, pick a niche, buy a domain and hosting, start posting and do your on page and off page SEO ... sort of the quick answer.

Okay maybe three times is a bit much but I must agree I could never imagine Godaddy being a decent host. If I just look at their constant sales pitches when I want to buy domain name I don't feel comfortable.

Also godaddy often has great 99c .com deals and I then have 5-10 domains with them. Never have your domain name and your host the same (I break that rule with my 1 free domain with my hosting account but not my main money maker site, Just one I can afford to lose)

I use bluehost and I am very happy, but I have used hostmonster and hostagtor and been very Happy to. What do those three have in common they are all cPanel based hosting accounts. That would be my number one hosting criteria cPanel is fantastic.

I checked both the Dictionary and the Glossary; no help.
      What's with "PINGing"?
      What does it do?
How often should I do that?
I've submitted articles (with links to my "money site") to many websites. Should I Ping them all?

      Thanks.

      Mark.

Having a custom domain site is one of the best way to be indexed and do SEO. I also GoDaddy.com as a web host for your site. And since you will need readers and traffic to your site, you can also do social bookmarking once you start writing articles. You can visit Social bookmarking service. Fast tagging and posting to all major social websites - SocialMarker.com for a list of different social bookmarking sites you can sign up.

Bet thing to do is pick one subject and focus on that and that alone. Once youve mastered it - move onto the next subject.

Its just too easy to get distracted in this business..
