I forget how to take screen shots!

This is a little embarrassing but I used to know how to take screen shots and put them into things like eBooks, but I've totally blanked.

I remember that Adobe was involved (and I remember what to do after I get it into Adobe) but I can't remember how I took the screen shot itself.

I now need to take some screen shots for a project I am working on, but I'm stumped.

There's a key on your keyboard called Print screen
    That should do the trick.

    • If you happen to have Windows Vista, there is a built in Snipping Tool that lets you dictate what area of the screen you want captured - and then lets you manipulate and save the final image.

You can find the Snipping Tool in your Programs > Accessories folder.

      Good luck!

  • Lgibbon gave you the correct answer. To elaborate, it'll probably be shift-PrtSc. That copies the screen image into your clipboard. Then open your graphics program and paste.

BTW, Leslie, I just looked over your blog. Well done and a lot of good information in there for people. Recommended. www.lesliegibbon.com
