Holy cow! My first sale on twitter!

I always thought it was impossible to profit with social media when all I see was spam links everywhere that no one would give a damn about yours even if your link would hand them $100 in their paypal account immediately.

And because of that, accounts get banned easily with the slightest unusual activities because social networks get so paranoid with marketers like us and i nearly swore to myself not to touch social networks again when i spammed links to my 1000 twitter followers and get less than 5 clicks. That was few months ago.

However, everything changed when i got the chance to learn twitter marketing from Sean Donahoe(thank you!) and i have to say he's one person i believed so much online because he knows his stuff so well in nearly every aspect of internet marketing that got me convinced why someone would actually share his proven tried and tested technique that not many people know. That is because he will never run out of ideas to make money online! (sorry if i advertise him too much and if it's against the forum rule but i'm just so grateful to him! I will delete this statement if needed).

So long story cut short, nearly 2 weeks ago, i started implementing the techniques i learned from sean and within 12 days, 1 sale! At 67 bucks somemore! The best part is the method is on auto pilot and my followers keeps increasing as i get more and more traffic everyday!

So let's proceed to the method. Before i carry on, I took 2 days to understand the system and 2 more days to set up the whole damn system because it was so complex and if you think 67 bucks/2weeks is too little, this method might not be for you. The point here is there is no magic bullet and every sale you get is all due to the effort you put in. The way i look at it, i might reach $500 per month in 2 months time. So let's go.

1. In all web 2.0 sites, relationship is the key. No one will buy something from someone they DO NOT know unlike search engine websites. You will need to provide valuable content to them to let them remember you before they will purchase from you.

2. So how do you provide value? Since twitter allows only 140 words, quotes & tips are the best way to capture your followers' attention.
eg. In IM niche, you can use something like 'Quotes: Sometimes it is better to lose and do the right thing than to win and do the wrong thing.'

eg. In dating niche, you can use something like "Dating tips: Are you free tonight or will it cost me?"

3. Here is the formula I use, i always post 1 Quote/tip every hourly, 3 links that are related to my niche that direct to my blog every 6 hours and 1 link every 2 hours on miscellaneous stuff like wow google launches new software or wow katy perry is hot in her new album if i'm in dating niche etc.

4. Every post and link are automated using Social oomph. It's a damn solid site that automates everything for you. It cost 29.90 per mth tho.

5. I uses rss feeds to get all my related content for free using wp-o-matic plugin in wordpress. The links i post to my twitter will be directed to my blog and i will add banners and affiliate links in it in an optimized way that there is no way they would miss it.

6. Now comes the followers part. How do it add followers on autopilot? Tweet following is another damn fine program. I got it for 20 bucks? more than a year ago in a WSO when they just launched it and the software went on to collect a year of virtual dust before i started using in recently. I have to say they provide some powerful 24/7 customer support like hostgator and they know their stuff well. It cost $50 bucks now if i'm not wrong.

7. According to the staff from tweet following, twitter allows you to add only 90-110 followers per day for 1 account and 1 ip address cannot support more than 10 accounts else you will get your ip banned. 9 accounts is fine. All these theory are tried and tested by tweet following staff so we are spared from all the agony.

8. Okay here is abit of greyhat stuff. Pls delete it if need so. Since adding 100 followers for 1 account is way too slow, what i did was create 20 accounts and tweet following software provide different ips so that your ips wont get ban.

9. i forgot to add that you need to create authority by designing your twitter background. It;s important to make your twitter background look as professional as possible so that you instill trust in your followers.

10. Here comes my findings. My accounts are in the IM niche and i was told that it's too competitive in twitter as every mother's son are spamming links on making money online. The way i look at it other niches are way less competive and free CPA offers should convert much much better instead of products but too bad i too lazy to apply for them. And adding 100 followers x 20 accounts takes 20 hours no kidding! I'm thinking of purchasing another PC so i can create 20 more accounts.


So that should be all. Not sure if i missed out anything. If you are technically inclined and have some experience with wordpress and twitter, you should be able to set up your twitter system in no time. For those who are not good technically, it might take days or weeks to do so. I would recommend you to just get sean's twitter course if you everything sound too difficult to you.

Before i end, i just want to say, ultimately, results come with some work and this is by far one of the method that requires initial effort only! Maybe that is why it's not as profitable as ranking #1 in google (obviously haha).

P.S. I forgot to add on that i used domain email addresses to create all my twitter accounts since twitter allows it! Eg. twitter@mydomain dot com, twitter1@mydomain dot com etc etc. (Creating all these email accounts + twitter accounts + linking them to social oomph took another few hours!)
