Oh, and I wouldn't expect to see success just by posting up 10 spun articles on a site. Yes, this can add content but adding content to a site is only one part of the equation of a successful site.

Unfortunately, the people who produce PLR products often have slightly different definitions of what that means. So, be sure to read any license that came with your articles and see what's allowed.

You will not bear the same fate as Gary Halbert by spinning some crappy PLR articles.
I would however, throw in a few lines to SPICE them up, particularly the title.

You know, if the article's called "10 Important Facts About Your Dog" change the title to "10 Things You MUST Know or Your Dog Will DIE!" ;-)

PLR is meant to be the basis for your own content. You take the material and make it your own. I would recommend rewriting by hand. Using PLR material as-is is not very effective. And don't even try to post PLR directly to major article directories like EZA etc. Besides being against their TOS its bound to someday get your account banned.

For human consumption - blogs, ebooks, etc - my best advice is to rewrite by hand - or at the very least expand and add to the content. Turn it into a video or audio WITH additional content.

What a lot of article marketers do is use the machines to spin the articles into content for SEO purposes. They are looking for backlinks and driving traffic - not for providing content for human consumption. That's my take on it anyway.

Keep in mind that you're unlikely the only person with these articles, so try rewriting them and then spinning.

You can always add your own content to the articles. Remember to always personalize and improve your content.

I would personally use the PLR as a basis to write your own unique content. Or set up an autoresponder and put in the PLR content as is (if it is good content).

In general, a PLR article is better than a blank screen.

The research is usually reasonable.

Sometimes the article is actually decent.

In the best case, you can publish as-is.

In the worst case, you just throw it out.

In between the two, I personally think article spinners are complete garbage. You'll be better off rewriting the article manually. You can expand the article from 300 to 500 words.

You can combine the articles into longer and more extensive articles. You can grab stock photos or clip-art to illustrate the article on your blog. You can even write a single "bridge" article between two PLR articles and have three related articles to publish in a sequence.

Got three or more articles on the same exact subject by different people? Combine them to create a really big article.

As a former DJ, I think of it like remixing - I play a little bit of this record, and a little bit of that record, and then switch to this other record. The end result isn't any of the original records; it's something new and fresh and different. I can turn three two-minute songs into a ten minute marathon mix. I can combine a couple dozen four-minute songs into a 90-minute mix tape. I can mix snips and snaps of songs into other songs, whether it's running a "Sweet Home Alabama" loop behind an Ice-T rap, or just tossing Darth Vader's "You don't know the power of the dark side" in over the drum break before a guitar solo.

PLR is so powerful it's not funny. Go check out the stuff John S. Rhodes is doing.

You need to be very careful with collections as big as 30k. There's a good chance that some of those articles truly aren't PLR and could be stolen or scraped from an article site like Ezine Articles.

Just because someone sells or give you PLR to content doesn't mean they have the legal right to do so. Just be aware that the buck stops with you when you use PLR and you'll be responsible for copyright violations despite what the seller told you.

Assuming you really do have PLR, then what you have is the rights to use the content as you wish without violating copyright laws. The problem is, a lot of other marketers are usually also using the same content as you.

You'll hear suggestions about rewriting or spinning PLR content, but this is really only useful for SE marketing. You can often just slap good quality PLR into autoresponders, convert it to videos, podcasts, pdf's, .doc files and more without having to modify it.

Or something like, grab some related articles, put them in a word processor, go to www.Morguefile.com and grab a few photos to spice it up and convert it into a PDF file, and now you have a free report to offer to get folks to sign up for an email list, etc.

It looks like Cdarkclock and a couple others have hit the nail on the head, just to reiterate a bit though, think of PLR as easy google and link bait. Also, the more efficient you are at rewriting PLR, the better off you are going to be, so practice practice practice!

You could use a service like "Spin Distribute dot com" It was a game changer for me when it comes to PLR articles

PLR articles are only good if you can rewrite it. Outsource the rewriting and you will have completely new and unique articles in no time.

I personally prefer using PLR articles (rewritten ones) on article directories, your main goal then is to build backlinks first and traffic second.

Instead of spinning the articles, I'd re-write them. You can do this yourself or hire someone to do it for you either free of charge or for a small fee. Either way, it's still the best way to go. I've come across plr articles that were simply no good. Spinning them would be like making an already bad situation worse - adding salt to the proverbial injury.
