I've recently came across PLR Articles and what they are used and I'm confused, can you just through them in an article spinner and post them? I have a PLR PACK there's about maybe 30k+ articles on tons of niches. If I were to find a product on Clickbank ex: gardening ebook and spin 10 articles and post them up on a new blog, could I see some success?

You can, but I wouldn't use them that way personally.

Oh, and I wouldn't expect to see success just by posting up 10 spun articles on a site. Yes, this can add content but adding content to a site is only one part of the equation of a successful site.

Ahhh, make sure you read them first. Some of plr information is garbage. Change it up a but yourself and make sure the information is useful. With articles I believe you should focus on quality and the titles.

You will need traffic to your site. In order to get traffic you'll have to either use SEO,forum marketing, article marketing, etc or pay for it (PPC,etc). Creating a website and putting content on it is the easy part

What exactly are PLR articles? Is that like PLR e-books where you can resell them but in this case, you just copy the content? I could afford having content for my site, if anyone proposes me something, please pm me.

PLR articles are articles that you can buy and use them as your own. You can put your own name to them as author and you can change them as much as you want.

Some of them you can resell, some you can't, that depends on the license that comes with them and that will vary from seller to seller.

PLR articles are great for adding content to your website, but it is best to rewrite them otherwise you will have the exact same content as a lot of other sites.

Well, you won`t get success by just posting the articles on a blog, there`s a lot more to it to make money out of it. If the content is good, then the most important thing you need after posting to your blog is to get traffic.

    Hi Vulk,

    Maybe, maybe not.

Unfortunately, the people who produce PLR products often have slightly different definitions of what that means. So, be sure to read any license that came with your articles and see what's allowed.

Other than that, Jill is right.

    All the best,

Ethical Marketers are also frequently, broke marketers ;-)
You know what I'm saying, marketing legend Gary Halbert even did time at Boron Fed.

You will not bear the same fate as Gary Halbert by spinning some crappy PLR articles.
I would however, throw in a few lines to SPICE them up, particularly the title.

You know, if the article's called "10 Important Facts About Your Dog" change the title to "10 Things You MUST Know or Your Dog Will DIE!" ;-)

PLR is meant to be the basis for your own content. You take the material and make it your own. I would recommend rewriting by hand. Using PLR material as-is is not very effective. And don't even try to post PLR directly to major article directories like EZA etc. Besides being against their TOS its bound to someday get your account banned.

For human consumption - blogs, ebooks, etc - my best advice is to rewrite by hand - or at the very least expand and add to the content. Turn it into a video or audio WITH additional content.

What a lot of article marketers do is use the machines to spin the articles into content for SEO purposes. They are looking for backlinks and driving traffic - not for providing content for human consumption. That's my take on it anyway.

    Good luck,

Well said, I agree 100% with Jack. I always rewrite PLR by hand, it is just better reading for your visitors. I find spun articles often don't make sense and it I came across a website full of spun articles, I wouldn't hang around and read them at all.

Some cheap PLR is also complete rubbish and doesn't deserve space on any website, so be careful what type of PLR you are putting on your website, grab something that is good quality, makes sense and that your visitors will want to read.

I would personally use the PLR as a basis to write your own unique content. Or set up an autoresponder and put in the PLR content as is (if it is good content).

In general, a PLR article is better than a blank screen.

    The research is usually reasonable.

Sometimes the article is actually decent.

In the best case, you can publish as-is.

In the worst case, you just throw it out.

In between the two, I personally think article spinners are complete garbage. You'll be better off rewriting the article manually. You can expand the article from 300 to 500 words.

You can combine the articles into longer and more extensive articles. You can grab stock photos or clip-art to illustrate the article on your blog. You can even write a single "bridge" article between two PLR articles and have three related articles to publish in a sequence.

Got three or more articles on the same exact subject by different people? Combine them to create a really big article.

As a former DJ, I think of it like remixing - I play a little bit of this record, and a little bit of that record, and then switch to this other record. The end result isn't any of the original records; it's something new and fresh and different. I can turn three two-minute songs into a ten minute marathon mix. I can combine a couple dozen four-minute songs into a 90-minute mix tape. I can mix snips and snaps of songs into other songs, whether it's running a "Sweet Home Alabama" loop behind an Ice-T rap, or just tossing Darth Vader's "You don't know the power of the dark side" in over the drum break before a guitar solo.

PLR is so powerful it's not funny. Go check out the stuff John S. Rhodes is doing.

You need to be very careful with collections as big as 30k. There's a good chance that some of those articles truly aren't PLR and could be stolen or scraped from an article site like Ezine Articles.

Just because someone sells or give you PLR to content doesn't mean they have the legal right to do so. Just be aware that the buck stops with you when you use PLR and you'll be responsible for copyright violations despite what the seller told you.

Assuming you really do have PLR, then what you have is the rights to use the content as you wish without violating copyright laws. The problem is, a lot of other marketers are usually also using the same content as you.

You'll hear suggestions about rewriting or spinning PLR content, but this is really only useful for SE marketing. You can often just slap good quality PLR into autoresponders, convert it to videos, podcasts, pdf's, .doc files and more without having to modify it.

Or something like, grab some related articles, put them in a word processor, go to www.Morguefile.com and grab a few photos to spice it up and convert it into a PDF file, and now you have a free report to offer to get folks to sign up for an email list, etc.

        Hi,Vulk

You certainly on the right track about plr articles and have a come up with good ideas.

PLR are a great way to make money and get ideas (niches) to make money from it.If you have allready information on what articles you will publish, you will be a step ahead. But remember that pack of plr articles you have, thousand of other people have it allready. So be different and unique

You can write it over in your own voice and structure, remember no one can talk like you or write the same as you.Yes you can spin it but, spinning would not show the real person who Vulk is.People can see the style of your writing and the emotions that go with it.You can prefer to spin it and then rewrite it in your own voice.

For the most part, Private Label Rights can be used to edit and modify the content to something different than the original. You will either receive the Private Label Rights content in a .doc (document) file, .rtf (rich text file) or a .txt. (text file).

Just be creative and be different from other people....You are on the right route, but rather choose your own path, than somebody else..

        Thanks I Apreciate

I have to agree with most of what everyone is saying here.
Don't just take raw plr and put it on your site.
It needs to be rewritten by you and not a program.

Real plr will provide you with a basis to work with. A few tweaks and additions will make it a new article. Change the title definitely.

It usually takes me about 5 to 10 minutes to rewrite a 500 word article.

However you obtain your PLR, make sure that you read the license that comes with it - this will tell you exactly what you can do with the product.

I agree that good quality PLR can be a massively helpful providing you take the time to make it your own.

But once you've put your stamp on the article, added it to your blog/website, you'll still need to drive targeted traffic to your site

It looks like Cdarkclock and a couple others have hit the nail on the head, just to reiterate a bit though, think of PLR as easy google and link bait. Also, the more efficient you are at rewriting PLR, the better off you are going to be, so practice practice practice!

PLR articles are only good if you can rewrite it. Outsource the rewriting and you will have completely new and unique articles in no time.

I personally prefer using PLR articles (rewritten ones) on article directories, your main goal then is to build backlinks first and traffic second.

Private Label Rights. You get full license rights to an intellectual property, which means you can do whatever you want to with it.

Well, no, in IM world, PLR can have differing levels of what you can do it with it. Much of it IS full license you can do whatever you like with, but not all of it.

Instead of spinning the articles, I'd re-write them. You can do this yourself or hire someone to do it for you either free of charge or for a small fee. Either way, it's still the best way to go. I've come across plr articles that were simply no good. Spinning them would be like making an already bad situation worse - adding salt to the proverbial injury.
