Advice on domain reselling

I want to resell a list of domain names I own... and my contact/potential buyer wants a third party valuation certificate ... and the valuation company has to provide REAL manual service...

Can you recommend a companies of such services?

and of course if you would like to check-out my domain portfolio (have some real neat easy-to-remember domain), PM me . thx

    These are scammers. Ignore them.

It's a classic scam - search the forum or it. They tell you about an evaluation company with a glowing reputation and testimonials. You pay for the evaluation - and never hear from them again

Yep, as rosetrees says it's a scam.

If you think about it, a serious buyer wouldn't ask for an 'independent' valuation and then pay whatever the valuation says. They'd already know roughly how much the domain is worth and how much he/she/their company is willing to pay for it.

When you go to buy a car, do you ask the car salesman to carry out an 'independent' valuation which provides certificates before you buy? Nope? Well the same is true here.

So yeah, don't get sucked in. You can always try playing along and saying "Okay, I've just had a valuation done at Moniker. They value it at $10,000" etc. You'll soon see them backtracking and saying Moniker aren't reputable (even though they are) and they'll recommend a company (which they own) to use instead etc.

I've done it before - it's kind of fun to play along and waste their time. I once strung them along for a while and after they'd recommended a valuation company to use (their one), I pretented that I'd ordered and they'd valued it at $9,000, and then I given them my PayPal account to pay up to. They replied asking for my payment receipt for the valuation. I enquired why they wanted my payment receipt considering it's an 'independent' company (after all, unless they owned the company, giving them the payment receipt - which of course I didn't have since I didn't actually pay anything - would be pointless), and I never heard from them again

But yeah, ignore it. Or play along (but don't spend any money on valuations) and waste their time; it's quite fun.

Is the potential buyer suggesting the sites he wants the valuation from?

If so, he owns those sites and it's the domain name valuation scam. Been around for years. Once you pay for the valuation, you'll never hear from the scumbag again.

Moniker (Premium Auctions and SnapNames) are good, then the main forums (DNF and NamePros) are also good.

But as others have said, I'd possible read around (especially NamePros) before regging anymore domains As Trivum says; it's addictive to register them but also can be very costly

I don't see any really valuable names there and the Facebook and Twitter domains are obvious trademark infringements.

These domains will be difficult to get rid of even if you sold them for registration fee, IMHO

No offense, but I'd hold off on that plan if I were you.

Why don't you see what you can get for the ones you have, then you'll get an idea of what sells and what doesn't.

Buying domains is ADDICTIVE (I know). ... PUT - DOWN - THE - MOUSE and back away slowly.

Unless you know what you want to put on all those domains I seriously wouldn't buy any more. They're just domain names. They're "ten a penny" - Olde Englishe Phrasee - which roughly translated means they're worthless.

Anyone can think of domain names. No point in registering them unless you know what you want to do with them. No-one will buy them from you without content - and adding worthwhile content to all that lot is going to take you one heck of a long time.

A scammer definitely I have been a victim myself before. I then found out what they were upto and didn't sell.

If you want to sell them try sedo.com a secure marketplace.

    Good luck!
