I'm looking at these three hosting providers:
Goddaddy
Bluehost
Hostgator

I've heard Godaddy will shut you down and ask questions later if they think you are spamming.
Do you guys know of any red flags I should be looking out for with these hosts? Or hosts in general..

Thanks

Use Hostgator, their price is fair and customer service is excellent.

As an aside, use the search function, as this has been discussed numerous times.

I've used both Bluehost and Hostgator. Personally, I prefer Hostgator, but both are well established hosting providers.

      Just my thoughts,

      Jeff.

I would stay away fromGoDaddy (really bad support). I host some sites with Bluehost and never had any problems, good customer service. Hostgator is also good.

If you're using WordPress avoid GoDaddy's hosting. Of the three you mentioned, Hostgator is my recommendation based on experience with working with client sites from all three companies.

I use hostgator too, and I love them. Sounds like you made up your mind, but another huge pro for me is they offer ssh access.

To me, there's nothing better than being able to ssh to my server and vi my files right there. One terminal window open with vi, andother with my website and F5 to see my changes in darn near realtime!

    Enjoy!

If i were you, i will think like a democrat and live by the hosting, for the hosting. Of course you know which of the company am talking about. Gator. Believe me, those guys are great.

One very important thing when it comes to who host your site is customer support. They have it all and yet affordable and reliable.

I've been using Host Monster for the past 4 or 5 months and I really like them for my Word press sites. They seem to load faster and working inside the WP admin console seems to be quicker too.

I also use IX Web Hosting for site that I need a dedicated IP address for. They have a good deal on their Unlimited Pro plan which gives you 15 dedicated IP addresses. The only issue I have with IX is that you use the same control panel to manage all your domains. Which can be good or bad depending on what you want to so.
