Amazon - How You Can Save Your 'wasted' Traffic and Still Bank

I do amazon niche marketing and not all my visitor click my links.

Obviously not everyone will click on your aff link for whatever reason so the best way I "save" that traffic is to use a popup redirect to another similar offer. They have no choice but to see the redirect page.

Download this plugin

I didn't create a sale on amazon but I did create a sale on another network so all is well.

So depending on the niche and business model. Exit redirects work well.

    Michael,

How long have you been using that plugin? Have your overall stats shown that it's worth it?

Not even 2 weeks. I drive all my traffic to amazon but just looked at another affiliate network and there was a sale. Considering it's a "free" plugin in, any sale is worth it right?

Kinda like free money that was never gonna come to you...

If I do this type of redirect will amazon pay for sales. I think they have a no-redirect policy. Would like to know your views.

I would think that if you redirect your visitors to Amazon and land them on the product category page you pretty much will have a 100% ctr to Amazon.com which should definitely increase sales. Does anyone know if Google might have an issue with sites that have redirect scripts?

If I remember correctly you can't have redirect scripts when you do Adwords so I'm wondering if it might hurt organic rankings.

          Thanks for sharing.

I just read Amazon's terms and they strictly prohibit redirects either directly or by popping another page. Has anyone got paid with redirects. This is 100% against Amazon agreement.

Thanks for the link to the free plugin I am going to test it out
on my blog just now, I was considering a paid one too, so until
I have the funds for that the free one will suffice.

              Alex.

I heard that if you are not automatically redirect users to Amazon site, it should be okay. Take a look of what Amazon said about a 'redirecting link' below:

"Redirecting Link" means a link that sends users indirectly to an Amazon Site via an intermediate site or webpage and without requiring the user to click on a link or take some other affirmative action on that intermediate site or webpage.

So, if your pop-up is asking the user to confirm (to take an affirmative action) or click a link to Amazon, it should be okay.

I haven't tried this yet, but it's what I learned from other people who claimed they are doing this without a problem. Just for your reference.

                Hi Michael,

But when you use this plugin, when customer press your on page affiliate link or image, will the pop up show as well?

                Thanks

Obviously the pop-up script is trying to be pushed here, but...

If you tweak the Amazon sales page to include EVERYTHING the visitor needs to become an informed buyer in the niche, then there should be no reason they don't click through and purchase from your site.

That means add the competing products, what reviews are saying, pictures, videos, etc...

I don't think this is correct. This is take from Amazon's site.

Can I use popups to advertise Amazon products?

As stated in the Operating Agreement, we do not allow Associates to use popups to drive traffic to Amazon.com, or to assist, authorize, or encourage any third party to take any such action.
Even though you are not redirecting directly to Amazon, if you are using popups to drive traffic to Amazon, it's a no-no.
