SPLIT TEST/TRACKING SYSTEM NEEDED

Hey guys, I'm looking for a really cool split testing/tracking software
which will allow me really optimize my sales funnel.


My sales funnel is :

PPC Traffic ==>

Squeeze Page ==>

Follow up emails ==>

Sales Page ==>

One Time Offer ==>

Upsell 1 ==>

Upsell 2 ==>

Upsell 3




What I would like is a tracking/analytics/split test system which will allow me to

1) Track sales all the way through from Traffic source to upsells.
This way I can track the exact revenue generated from various traffic
sources, including all upsells.

2) Split test different areas of sales funnel. For example, I can split test upsells, sales pages, and squeeze pages. The system can then report to me, what combination of sales page, squeeze page and upsells will create the most revenue.


I believe systems like limelight encorporate this sort of functionality, but this
is outside of my budget.

Any ideas you have about how to achieve this, in the easiest (and cheapest way) possible will be hugely appreciated. :-)

    One of my mentors tracks everything at the squeeze page level. This is because many sales can happen ??? months after cookies and IP's have dropped/changed, respectively.

    So...send your PPC traffic to a squeeze page with a ref ID that populates a custom field in Aweber/GetResponse or whatever. http://www.mydomain.com/ref=adwords_1356 or however you decide to track. That custom field is permanently attached to this person's email and subscription for life!

    Next step...let's say your using Clickbank. In your email broadcasts, insert "buy" links that include the ref ID. Make sure the salespage captures that ref ID and passes it into Clickbank via their tracking code. Once they buy, that is attached to the transaction.

    Now you can filter at Clickbank to see what initial PPC campaign led to the sale. Even if 5 months have gone by!

    Want to take it even further? You can duplicate products in Clickbank for different autoresponder messages. Let's say you pitch Widget1 after 14 days and again 30 days. Create one product for each in Clickbank. You're allowed up to 500 per account. Now you can see whether the 14 day or 30 day is selling better.

    Clickbank aside, you can still filter at the Autoresponder level also to see what PPC campaigns convert into leads the best.

    In my opinion, this is the best method since it captures the source of traffic for LIFE in the AR custom field.

    This might make it easier:
    My sales funnel is :

    PPC Traffic ==> Send traffic to http://www.mydomain.com/?refid=adwords_12345

    Squeeze Page ==> Parse and Insert adwords_12345 into custom field for subscriber's AR record.

    Follow up emails ==> Use buy links like http://nickname.wordppc.hop.clickban...=adwords_12345 to insert the TID in Clickbank's database after purchase.

    Sales Page ==> Insert adwords_12345 into Clickbank Tracking ID hidden field for subscriber.

    One Time Offer ==> Insert adwords_12345 into Clickbank Tracking ID hidden field for subscriber.

    Upsell 1 ==> Insert adwords_12345 into Clickbank Tracking ID hidden field for subscriber.

    Upsell 2 ==> Insert adwords_12345 into Clickbank Tracking ID hidden field for subscriber.

    Upsell 3 ==> Insert adwords_12345 into Clickbank Tracking ID hidden field for subscriber.

    Is it somewhat manual? Yes. However, it will give you an accurate LIFETIME value. That's priceless for future traffic purchasing.

    If you want something easier (but uses cookies/IP's), check out Prosper 202.

      I'm currently doing very similar to what you say with Aweber and the hidden custom form.

      I'm about to drastically increase the traffic to my site so I would like an automatic system to track the whole lot and generate reports for me automatically.

      I have heard of tracking202, will this allow to track as such through emails?

        You're 90% ahead of the pack, then.

        T202 is pretty wicked. I recommend hitting their forum and asking if it's a good fit.

        Other options to consider: HyperTracker (made by GetResponse creator) and AdTrackz by Harvey Segal. Both "look" old...but still work great.

    TransGrade offers a la carte pricing. This might be an alternative for you if you're looking to scale up, as you only pay for services you use.
