There's no reason at all to buy anything, right now. Hover your
little rodent over the link in Rus Sells' post. It's a joke, sort of,
but not really.

This forum is an Indiana Jones warehouse of IM knowledge. You
know, in that Indy movie at the end where the lone guard walks
into that huge warehouse or what ever it was.

You can join the War Room in time, but it's not really necessary if
you're totally new to IM.

I strongly suggest you check out the "Search" function at the top
nav bar. You can click on it to get the drop down menu, then click
on "Advanced Search."

Ok, realize it doesn't have the algorithm that powers Google or any
other search engine, but it is a search engine of sorts. More like a
search buggy. lol.

Avoid using search terms with many words, and avoid (at least at
first) searching in posts. You'll spend the balance of your life reading
posts looking for useful information like that. It's just not the most
efficient way to do it.

Try searching for general topics you're interested to learn about.

Then, at least at first, search in thread titles because that way you're
more assured of hitting greater amounts of relevant information.

Also, you can search all in one threads. I think they're like allinone (topic).
I don't remember what they all are, but they're a goldmine of highly
relevant information on the (topic).

Just doing that can keep you busy for a long time.

I also strongly recommend you tread with some caution in the WSO forum,
at least if you currently know nothing at all about IM. I'm not putting it
down, it's just that so many things may appeal to you, and you can
easily start spending a lot of money on WSO's. Just a head's-up about it.

Learn something first, get an idea about what appeals to you as far as
how to approach doing something business related online, and then you
will have a better idea about direction.

It's all about the WSO section my friend. There are lot of different ways to make money online - Read about as many as you can but choose ONE (to start with) and stick with it. And don't expect immediate results.

I still believe you need to set yourself up correctly from the getgo. And the best way to this is to get youself a mentor/coach. Doesn't have to be the biggest and best name in the business - just someone who knows their business and can spend one on one time with you. And doesn't have to cost the earth. It's a win/win situation because they know you will bring them good business down the track. You should also make sure your blog is up and running and functional. If you're not sure how to do this there a plenty of tips on this forum or you could try a site like BloggingWizardry to get a step by step guide for setting up a functional blog.
