Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.

Food for Thought?

Agreed. Success is not an event - it is a mindset, a way of life.

I also love the good old - life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.

Make a decision right now on what you want in life and go and get it - otherwise you will spend your life looking and not getting.

    More food for thought?

I may tweak that a bit and change "busy" to "productive". It's easy to stay busy, but that isn't always the same as being productive. However, the basic idea behind your post is a good one.

    All the best,

    Productive is great.

I see far too often people will spend so much of their "productive" energy searching for a magic button to create wealth. Had they simply used a fraction of that time in a more productive manner, posting, linking etc... they might have already gotten where they wanted to be.

"Most people are too busy earning a living, they don't have time to be successful."

Obviously, Success has different meaning to all of us.

But the Old School, Earl Nightengale definition has withstood the test of time:

Success is the accomplishment of a worthy goal.

So, there is a destination, a stopping and reflecting point...a banner waving: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

AND there can be successful enjoyment of the process too.

ONE "secret" is; never let anyone define what success is for you (of course, the Boss can give you assignments and tasks, which CAN be defined as successes)...

but, be like a duck in the pond. Accept the gentle Summer rain which is a cooling mist (praise) or the harsh cold driving rain of Fall (criticism) and let both roll off your back.

Every human being is either busy doing nothing or busy doing something.

I have always told my friends that success is not all about "business" or activities but accomplishments.

I have no clue what success is nor even where to begin looking for it. Having a tomorrow and beautiful wife is enough for me

I think you'd have to define success first to better answer the question, but for me success is as small as learning something new or making as little as a buck $1 online (for example).
If can persuade my little cousin to clean his room I consider a certain amount of success obtained. I believe the oppurtunity to succeed is all around us, its our choice to train ourselves to see it in its smallest form. When you can do that, the greater success will seem to come instantly all the time!
