Micro sites and Doorway Pages

Hello Warriors

A colleague of mine has suggested building free micro sites in order to build backlinks to our website. I understand that we would put quality content on these so as to provide information to the user as well because we don't want to keyword stuff or look spammy.

I have read some blogs that say that this is unethical - can someone clarify this please?

    I would say "Go for it" - It certainly works for my t-shirt printing business. I offer various products (for example custom printed t-shirts, hoodies, bags etc) and I have sites for all of those, plus different sites aimed at customer types such as hen parties, businesses, etc. It definitely brings in more business.

      Hi Laura

      Micro-sites are a good way to 'pre-sell' an affiliate offer and I find this quite an effective method. I can see how they could also form valuable backlinks to your main page but I haven't used this strategy myself.
