24 Subscribers and 2 Sales. Is that good?

Just trying to get a feel of what the average percentage is of all this.

I wrote 2 articles for a brand new product that came out yesterday. I'm on #2 for one of them and #1 for the other.

In my resource box I say "click here to get your free thing that goes perfectly with ...."

They input their email address and immediately it takes them to the product vendors sales page. They are hot buyers looking for the product.

I have had 24 signups in total and 2 sales totaling around $100.

I plan on sending broadcast emails out to the non buyers to entice them more. But was wondering if these numbers are about average. A little less than 10%.

The articles are reviews by the way.

It's BETTER than 0 sales, 0 subscribers... No, seriously, that's good to be rewarded for that small amount of work. Now see what happens when you scale it up!

It's a good promising start but the numbers are to small to guage the real response rate just yet.

Yea definitely I understand. I'll have to see over the long haul I guess.

        Most def!

I read about it in another forum then just put a little twist on the method to collect the subscribers.

Problem is I'm trying to focus on my blog, my main site and not that type of method for now. I just wanted to try it out.

I guess we'll just have to see what happens now.

Having more than 1 sale is always good. It gives you at least some conversion data.

    Yes, it's good.

Unfortunately, that doesn't mean it will last... but enjoy it in the meantime!

Very well done for the minimal effort needed to produce 2 sales...

Now maybe you can find a way to include the product on the back-end
of your blog or main site now that you know the product converts

For me, two quick sales from two articles is always both good, and welcome.

It means that (at the very least!) you're doing something right.

Now you need to identify further (if possible) what was "right", and do more of it and less of other things. That said, it's true that - as you know already, I'm sure - your "numbers", at the moment, are a bit too small to be drawing conclusions with anything approaching pinpoint accuracy.

(Just a small observation, if it helps at all, and if it's relevant: "click here" is far from optimal anchor text, from the perspective of the SEO of the site to which the link takes anyone clicking.)

This is what I'm debating now. If I have had just small success using this method and in the past month of trying to promote my main site and haven't made a dime then what am I doing? Maybe I should go after this method more aggressively.

In regards to "click here" as anchor text. Yes I do know that. The click here takes them to a one page LP to get there free stuff then the TY page is the main product. I didn't care about SEO stuff for this test.
