How to import bunch of txt files as posts in Wordpress?

Hi Guys,

I have checked Wordpress forums and all questions on this have gone unanswered.

I have looked around and couldn't find any solution/plugin. Anyone have any idea how to import .txt files as posts in Wordpress?

    Sure - just use the wp_insert_post function from the WordPres Codex and a bit of basic PHP programming and there you go!

    How many do you have to import? If it's only a few then old-fashioned cut & paste is the low tech answer. For a large number the above solution is what I'd do.

    PLRtoWordpress plugin. Works great. I use it all the time.

    But the guy sold the site and plugin so I don't know what the status is now.

    I have to import thousands. So, manual import is not an option.

    Zipposter is expensive at $67.
    PLR to Wordpress is no longer available.

    Thanks for the help guys.

    Edit: I found a plug-in that is free but it has a bug. It wrongly identifies duplicate articles int he txt files when there are none.

    It's called TxtasPost. It's free and I cannot find it's developer, who can fix the bug.

    Does anybody know who made TxtasPost? Thanks

    If zip poster works as well as PLR to Wordpress does, for those who bought when it was available, it's cheap if you have thousands to import. Try outsourcing or doing it yourself and you'll realize how cheap it is. I forget how much I paid for PLR to Wordpress, but I would easily pay $67 for it.

    There are a lot of plugins, there is a cheap plugin called ContentUploader:

    It can tag your posts as well

      Please forgive me if this thread issue has been settled. However, as a blogger who has had the same issues importing plain text blog posts into my blogs, I couldn't help but share the only wordpress import plugin that will actually do what it says that it will do, and at a very affordable price too ($7).
