Complaint sites, what to do?

With the advent of the web, there are a bunch of complaint sites.
Most will actually remove bogus complaints (which come up on Google searches), but there are few really slime ball sites that will not, no matter what you do. Any tips or suggestions on this? thanks.

If you are serious about protecting your brand AND the accusations that are made against you are false, then consider filing suit in your local court. With a little research, you can draft a pleading and file it pro se.

You can ask the court to order the site to remove the false claim or you can file suit against the actual poster or both. You can name the person John Doe if you do not have the actual identity of the person and then subpoena the site to give you the person's information.

If you do this pro se, then the total investment is your research time and filing fees, which aren't much.

You just need to ask yourself, "Is it worth it?" Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't.

      thanks E.
no, cannot be sued. This scumbag site, has no address and changes is hoster every few months.

also, I cannot afford it anyway.

But, I was pleased with that link. UP to now, there has been no case of anyone winning these unethical sites because of the moron law that Congress passed in the 90's protecting all internet writings.

I heard that a few of the larger ones are charging thousands in bogus fees to remove these posts.Alot of people are posting complaints about these bogus sites, some of these complaint sites are posting complaints to extort money from larger companies. You can try to contact the company to remove the post for free but if it does not show up in the first few pages of Google don't worry too much.If you want these posts pushed down keep on putting up blogs and articles at the keyword these complaint sites are targeting and add backlinks to those blogs and articles, once it is pushed down of the front page not many people are likely to see it.

thanks Seo I know which site you are talking about. Lowest scumbag in the internet universe. I wonder if this other site that is making a compendium of complaints is owned by the same lowlife.
I'm well aware of your strategy, and have it in place. Just curious what else to do...
