2 quick questions for RAP experts out there

First of all I want to thank you for your help in this matter.

First question.. How do I add the Paypal transaction id to the squeeze page, once a transaction has been completed.

Second question... Can I add mulitple prices to a salespage. (such as... pack 1 is $5.00, package 2 is $10.00, etc.). If so how.

Thanks again for your help.

    Joe,

I love RAP, but I'm pretty sure the current release doesn't allow you to push the paypal transaction id.

Regarding point 2, also not a feature, but as an alternative you might offer a bundle on an OTO or as a follow up sale later on...

Have you tried, Sid (RAP creator) on the Rap Forum or John Burnette or David Schwartz..

    Cheers,

    Rob

      Thanks Rob...For the reply.

No I have not tried yet. I figured I could get a quick answer here.

Also I want to tell you on another note. I really enjoyed your Interview and grow rich package. I am currently working on it right now and I am in the process of getting some interviews lined up.

      You did a great job.

      Thanks,
      Joe

Like some of the other responses, I'm not sure why you would want this either - but it's in a cookie (txn_id) by the time the squeeze page is shown, so if you wanted to add some javascript to retrieve it, you could. Additionally, it IS on the download pages in the standard templates.

Well, it's been 3 days since your post here, and I haven't seen your question posted on the RAP support forum, so I have to wonder how important this was.

The Warrior Forum is a great place, but I really don't understand why anyone would expect support issues for any product to be resolved here quicker than on a support forum that is set up specifically for that product.

Is that the general experience with other products? If I ever get that bad, someone PLEASE let me know! (shudder)

    Hi Joe,

Not really sure why you would want to add the PayPal transaction id to the squeeze page but, I'm almost positive that it would take some type of extra script not offered by RAP.

As to the second question, one possible solution would be to create a separate product folder for each package. You could then link to them through your main salespage.

Your main product folder could be named "widgets" and package 1 would be "widgets01", package 2 would be "widgets02", etc. You could then link to the PayPal page of each pack by coding your text link on your main salespage as follows:

    http://www.yoursite.com/widgets01/?action=order&dc=

    http://www.yoursite.com/widgets02/?action=order&dc=

Using this method, it would not be necessary to make a separate salespage for each package since you are linking directly to the "Buy" function.

    Hope this helps -

    Mike

      Something I forgot to add...

If you have already set up your RAP system to sell just one product, ie; you have uploaded the contents of your product folder (not the folder itself) into your root folder, you can still use this method -

Just drag the entire product folders (widgets01 and widgets02) into your root directory (usually public_html) where your RAP system resides.

Also, make sure that you set up the products in the RAP dashboard as individual products.

    Joe

The RAP experts reside on the RAP forum and although Mike has given some good advice and Rob has also mentioned it - I would urge you to get over to the RAP forum and ask the same questions there.

    Just my thoughts . . . .

    Thanks all for the responses.

This is for a project put on hold for the time being while I finish the current project.

I am thinking ahead for things coming up.

Thanks for your help Mike and Sid.

The transaction ID on the page is for easy reference for the customer. When they submit required info to me it for a project. Is one of the pieces of info I ask for.

    Thanks again,
    Joe

Then, since all customers get to one of the download pages, and the transaction ID is already on the standard templates for those, I would guess that your needs are handled - with NO need to add javascript to the squeeze page.
