TOS/Privacy Pages For Clickbank Site

Hi everyone,

I've heard that it's important for a site to have it's own Terms of Service (TOS) and Privacy pages...

Are these still needed 'though if your site is just a simple pitch/sales page and an affiliate page? i.e. a typical Clickbank offer site, just two pages in total.

...and if they are, can a generic template be bought for them, that just needs some amending?

Cheers,

On my sites I typically include a privacy policy and a contact page. It's really easy and my privacy policy pages are basically all the same.

The number of pages on your site is irrelevant.

What you need for terms depends on what you are selling. For example, selling a make money product will require different terms than a health product.

      Hey, thank you,

It's just a one page site offering a business opportunity via e-book. The
site's stated "terms" ought not to be dissimilar to any other one-page site,
offering a biz opp via an electronic download.

I appreciate there might be a distinction, however, between "software"
products and run-of-the-mill .pdf e-books, but my offering (as I say)
is much the same as 90% of products offered by Clickbank's clientele.

With this in mind, is there a generic-style TOS/Private Policy document
that can be bought and amended to fit my needs? I don't want to pay
for a solicitor to draft one...

They will take 10mins to do it, and then charge me a grand or more... :p

I just don't want to be on the wrong side of any "law" that might've
cropped up over the last few years...

I'm new to clickbank but from my search so far, you can use a standard boiler template found online and ensure the above linked-to clickbank requirements for your product are included. Would just need a few simple edits from you, if any. This thread has good resources for free templates with automated customization, foolproof.

Can't post links yet, so search thread TITLES for "terms of service" and look e.g. at the thread titled "where can I get privacy policy & terms of service for my websites" for good links and info.

Once you're moving from making some money online to building a serious business I would high;y suggest hiring a lawyer to create custom versions to keep your hard earned money safer...
