INTERNET MARKETING

I know that a lot of people on this forum think they are taking action and I did too till I looked and realized "Hang on, I'm buying more WSO's than I am making money"

I was making a lil bit of money, but I wasn't doing the primary thing in Internet Marketing, and that is "Marketing".

I could do all of the SEO, article writing, design, programming and set up new niche sites and repeat it all again but would never make any money because I wasn't doing the marketing side of things.

Remember, the marketing side boils down to getting your hands dirty, seeking out places for advertisement, making videos, making products and lastly and most important, making the pitch!

  What helped me, was going to the mall...I was stood on the top floor looking down at these marketing guys for a company asking everyone if they wanted to try there product. I noticed most just walked on by but some didn't...and i saw the guys hook the customers onto a free trial, then sell extras...then sell more extras and leave the customer walking away happy as can be! (And a lot of money down.)
  
  It is quite a spectacular thing to watch, and it is something I think we must all struggle with at one point or another with integrating it into the digital world.

  Its is a skill that needs to be tuned accurately.
  
  The internet opens a gateway though,you can easily get people to do things that you cannot do yourself, but you need to invest money, if not you have to invest time in learning.
  
  There are so many ways to sell on the internet and make money, but your time would be best spent learning one technique well.

  "spend your time perfecting one punch than learning 50 variations and you will always be the stronger fighter"

I agree that unless you go through the trial and error process, you'll never really learn how to do it right in business. From my experience the most effective way to learn is through apprenticeship: observing and then trying it out for yourself, reflecting on the results and try again and again and again until you finally get it right.

Why you do not focus on adsense first? The basic thing to make money online.

I am just starting to realize that SEO and getting to the top of the SERPS is not the only way to make money with internet marketing. I think I need to start focusing more on advertising and learning how to do it effectively. And also learning how to copywrite effectively.
