Title basically says it all. I bought about a hundred articles and would like to automate the proces of uploading them to my wordpress blog.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I personally have never come accross this tool, although there will be a quick submission post plugin.

I think the Textpressor plugin would do that, it is a paid plugin though, but it's really easy to use: TextPressor

This is the one I use> You can vary posting times:

WordPress Article Import Plugin — Webous Agency

There are others. Just do a google search. Another I have is from:

      WP Traffic

I tend to only use article import plugin when I need it because I am used to it.

  • If you are going to spend the money you might as well purchase a full blown auto blog package. Nearly all of them will "drip" your own articles from a folder at any speed you want. The advantage of a full auto blog plugin is the additional features like pulling RSS feeds and stripping out scripts.

    Dude?

Zip Poster is what you want, there is a WSO for it

You can do this without a program in WP.

Just set the "post immediately" in the post control section at top right of the post screen to some future date. The cron will post withing an hour or so of your desired post time.

You're going to Copy&Paste into a paid program, why not c&p from the WP CP and save a few bucks?

    Test it first though

Nick Carty's Autoblog software - it's on a WSO - drop me a note here if you can't find it.

If you join the WarRoom there is a software being given away
in there that will, I think, do what you want. I just used the
features that pulled RSS feeds and scheduled the posts,
but for that it worked fine and I don't see it being much of
a stretch to load PLR articles into it.

This is how I do it. A little time up front but once it's done, it's done.

Get CSV Importer plugin by Denis Kobozev. Read the readme file and create a standard CSV template with the correct headings. Copy your articles to the csv file. Create the dates for the postings to occur. Use a formula to post them in 2,3,4,5 articles per day.

Like I said, this does take some time up front, but once you are done, it's complete.

Does that mean I have to open every article and copy/paste it to the csv file? I don't think that will speed up the process. I might as well paste them to the new post page in wordpress. Or am I missing something?

      Thanks for the tip!

There are some plugins out there for this... Mr. Content is one of them (Drip Content & Autopost Plugin|Your Morning Content, sir!), and Robert Plank had a similar one I don't feel like searching out. I think there's one called "text import" or something like that.

As said before Nick Carty's WSO does this. As a user I am pleased with the software,

I have been using this plugin for the last few days populating blogs with several hundred posts each and it works great. You need to unlock all the features by opting in to their form once installed but it's worth it and easy to unsubscribe. Why pay when you can get what you need for free?

I tried this plugin, but it puts the file-extension in the post title
      -> title of the blogpost.txt

Any way to get around this?

      Thanks

mmmmm while I won't comment on this specific plugin - I had not tested it before WP Easy Uploader was built - I found all the plugins I tested lacked in one way or another
I have tested WP Easy Uploader - and it works - free is great , but if it costs you time ...... then sometimes a reasonably priced alternative will be a saving

Can you make an RSS feed out of them? If yeah, then Yahoo Pipes + Feed + Your blog is a free and rather sophisticated solution.

    Cheers
