Using AdWords to test a new site
So I've been working on my site, but since it's new and I haven't done a ton of promotion yet, it doesn't get a lot of traffic yet. I put up some AdWords ads to drive some traffic just to see if I could get any clickthroughs once I did get traffic to the site. It's been encouraging, as my CTR is something like 10-15%, however I'm thinking this is skewed becuase people who click on the ad to get to my site are probably more likely to click on another ad on my site.
Anyone ever tried this? Obviously, it's a money-loser, but as a short-term test to see if you will be able to make money from targeted traffic?
