How to increase traffic radically to a hubpage?

I rely on hubpages itself for a majority of my traffic. By writing quality articles you increase your scores across the board which means you will be featured in the Related Hubs section more often than not. If you want search engine traffic I would encourage you to look elsewhere.

A hubpage is just another web page, so virtually any method of generating traffic will work for you. Plenty are discussed on the forum. For instance, create a quality hub page and then provide quality contributions to related forums where your sig links to your page.

There are some traffic generating techniques here that will result in your hub being shut down.

First thing to do is get your hub scores up. Hub rank of 80 and above result in much more traffic for you. To rank higher - more good quality content will usually do it.

Yes there are some hub pages that have ranked well with Google. (I'm assuming you're meaning Google)

It's all about content, content, content. If you write a good hub with good quality content and not making it like you're selling something, then they'll rate you higher. It's kind of an oxymoron because they let you put your Amazon on there yet they sort of penalize you for it. I haven't figured out that balance yet.

I've never really tried hubpages, but I might start soon because I am not getting the results I wanted with ezines. Some people are telling me that I need to build links to my articles to maintain traffic flow. Articles can go down in the SERP's over time as new people write new articles.

YOU DON'T!

Creating backlinks doesn't send traffic to your page UNLESS that backlink is placed somewhere that people are genuinely interested in what your website is about.

Squidoo though?

In most niches, you can build a gazillion backlinks, and the only traffic you will get is from moderators, and admins following your links to see whether they are going to leave the link live or not though.

Squidoo just doesn't rank the way it used to...so, you might be beating your head up against a wall. If you want to get traffic from a web2.0 site, do some keyword research and see what 2.0's are already ranking here and there in your niche, and then use those specific web2.0 sites. Doing it that way, gives you a couple of advantages.

1. You will more than likely get some internal traffic from people visiting other pages that they found in the search engines.

2. You are giving yourself the best possible chance to rank by using a property that the search engines are already showing some favor to.

You can participate to forums, blogs and other social networking sites that are related to your page. By doing that, you are not only promoting your pages to search engines but you could drive targeted traffic.

To get the hub score above 80, do the following:
- Make sure each hub has at least 2 text modules
- Make sure each hub has at least one picture
- Make sure each hub has at least one video
- Buy one of the "guaranteed" traffic packages of at least 2,000 visitors to be delivered over a period of 2 weeks or so
Done deal...

If you don't want to do the traffic package, make sure that your hub has "comments"...there are a couple of ways that can happen.

People can find your hub and leave legit comments
You can find your own hub, and errr....well...you know
