Questions for any Facebook experts in the house...

Hi everyone! I have a question about Facebook. I have a personal account on FB with about 300 friends from school and college, etc. However, I also have my separate internet business with bunches of sites.

I do not want to mix the two for a variety of reasons. However, I would like to have some FB fan pages set up for a few of my sites. How do I do that without having that information accessible to my current FB friends?

Is there a good WP plugin to use that will allow me to have that cool graphic on my sidebar that has a way to sign up for a fan page and pics of my fans?

Thanks!

A FaceBook Fan Page is difficult to find out who the admin is. A FaceBook Group has a place for the admin. The difference is here, so if you want it to be kept a secret I'd go with the Fan Page like you had stated.

Your fan page button is here, where you can get a fan page button. Be sure to get about 25 people liking it then you can have a decent URL and not some elongated web address.

    Hope that helps

That's a tough one to get around. By default fanpages are linked to the creator's profile plus by default no matter where you post on facebook it automatically shows up on your own profile wall.

And by their nature, fanpages are public and can be accessed without having a facbook profile - they are just like normal websites which get indexed individually by the Search Engines.

The only thing I can think of is not to publicise them personally so as not to raise the red flag to your fb friends. When you post be sure to sellect "Just 'fanpagename' only" - these are just steps to try to stay under the radar and by no means solutions - like I said they are public and at the moment there's no way of hiding them from certain people.

Oh BTW, don't invite your friends

Yea I say just create another account for your business related stuff. Just dont make it too spammy or you'll be banned.

Thanks for the info! I will get to work on building a business profile. I have some old co-workers who I don't really want to see what I am doing for now.... Too many gossips.
