12Seconds.tv is Shutting Down!

INTERNET MARKETING

I just got a message that 12seconds.tv is shutting it's doors and is done for good. I guess they will allow you access to all your videos up untill the 22nd of October.

Kind of reminds me of the .com boom and bust, only this time will it be the social media web 2.0 type sites? I know the main ones will stick around and everything is gravitating to a more social interaction, but you've got to wonder how many of the 2nd teer sites will be gone in the near future.

It will be interesting.

I never really got it, but it was a video site where all the video's were 12 seconds long. It was kind of the Twitter version of Youtube, as everything on Twitter is short and only 140 characters, all the videos were only 12 seconds long. Some IM'rs would do short little tips and blurbs.

  I never knew that they existed either, but it must be (or have been) a joy to view and listen to a succinct twelve second sales pitch viz a viz some of the boring lengthy crap that often arrives attached to emails sent to my inbox!
  
  That applies especially when there is no indication of the video duration
