Where to find good VPS hosting?

I was looking to find good and fairly cheap VPS(Virtual Private Server) hosting. Does anyone have any suggestions? I planned on running a number of sites but I would rather do it all from one place. Sooo, from my research I determined that VPS hosting would be ideal for me. However, I am still trying to figure out the right & most reliable company for me..which brings me to my original question.

What VPS hosting company would you suggest or that you use that has been reliable for you.

    (1) dont use VPS unless you have a decent amount of tech know-how. if you DO, then it can be a wonderful thing. (2) there are good VPS hosts out there, but you should really look at cloud solutions like Amazon ec2. with the new micro-instances, you can get a VPS for about $22/month.

That's why they invented managed VPS hosting! Prices for fully-managed plans start at around $35 per month. Here's a list of some current deals:

Well, for the stuff I can't figure out on my own I was probably going to hire a techie(I know quite a few in real life that I can put quite a lot of trust in.)

However, I know people using VPS that are totally technologically illiterate(He runs a forum with 1000's of members.) and has been for quite a while so apparently it isn't too complicated. I suppose it depends what the VPS hosting in particular provides, though. Some provide next to nothing for dirt cheap while others provide a lot that makes things actually quite simple.

Youre just not going to get much cheaper than $22/month. Amazon has basically killed the VPS market. I still get my vps for $17 but amazon will soon be taking over all that

I use Linode for my sites (rather inexpensive, Android app for my VPS as well) and use PowerVPS at work (top notch technical support, bit pricier)

    Linode - Xen VPS Hosting

VPS Hosting from PowerVPS. Choose from cPanel or Plesk, all powered by the Cloud.

heroehost is good and so is coolhandle. I know that Mike Johnson (autoblog blueprint) recommends those 2. They both have cpanel and I believe have packages that are 10 dollars a month.

Thanks guys for all the places to look through. I am sure I will find one out of all the VPS hosting places listed that suits me.

I actually pay a bit for hosting one of my websites as it's mainly because the place I am hosting with provides fantastic tech support so i'll definitely consider the more pricey one. I was considering one at $55 a month but people here make it sound like I can find some VPS hosting for under $25 a month.

      Hi,
I use wiredtree.com fully managed VPS. They rock solid and if you goto webhostingtalk.com in the offers section you can get a good discounted rate.

Unless you know anything about running a VPS don't got for unmanaged.

For +- $50 they offer a fully managed vps with cpanel/whm. They also offer phone support and email support
