Looking at getting started in Affiliate Marketing.

I've done some kind of affiliate marketing in the past, but no CPA, Adsense and all that, but I really don't know where to start! I was thinking of starting with autoblogging, as it's relatively cheap to start up on, and I already have hosting and a free domain available with the hosting. However I've read on here not to bother with auto blogging.
I don't have much money to burn at the minute, so wanted to start, earn some money, and pump it back into getting further in affiliate marketing. Would love it if someone was able to give me some pointers as where to start.
