Are walk-on videos still converting?

I noticed today that E4E isn't using theirs anymore. I was planning to show it to someone, and it wasn't there. Is anyone still using them and seeing better conversions for it?

I've seen high profile SEO-run sites that where using walk ons, but no longer do. This may be a split test... but I'm more inclined to think that they were making little difference when costs are taken into account.

However, each offer is unique, so really the only way to find out if it works for your particular site and audience, is to test.

Having them parachute down or float up in hot air balloons would be more unique?
