mobile phone marketing

hey fellow warriors,

i heard mobile phone marketing is going to be huge(or already is, am i too late?)!

I was wondering if you could maybe guide me to some information about how to get started in mobile phone marketing...

forums, websites, whatever, any free information out there would be appreciated.

anyone actually do this already?

    Yeah I do it, I use a mobile optin and run ads on apps through mobclix.

    Also there isn't much to know that is different from online you just sign up and have the "tap" lead to you're desired page. It's really that simple. Oh, and after the optin for what ever I'm list building for, my confirmation page is usually an offer from offermobi they are a mobile affiliate network.

        I have used bluetooth advertising before. Works good for local stores. Just set up a bluetooth dongle from your laptop and everybody with their bluetooth enabled will get the message 100% free!

      I'm interested in learning how to build a list through mobile marketing. Is it simply a ase of creating an optin form on a mobile ready website and following the same if not similar marketing procedures we do with normal websites?

      Or is there a simple one click app that collects the users mobile number (permission based)

        I have to respectfully disagree with Thomas, there are some decent courses out there. One such course is Mobile Monopoly. I am not an affiliate or anything like that. I bought the course and it does have some great information, specially if you are just getting started.

        We do mobile marketing, as well. However, we fought an uphill battle finding mobile optimized offers to promote. After much debate, we decided to do something about it and create a service that fills such a need.

        So, if you're doing OR are going to do mobile marketing, you definitely want to have your offers formatted so that they fit and are viewed properly on a mobile device otherwise you are going to waste a lot of time and money. Take it from someone that has been there.
