I have a paypal button on my website that will redirect my clients to my pay pal site to pay me - but does anyone know how they can be redirected after paying paypal to my product automatically so they can download the product automatically (or the product be sent to them)?

    Under "Customize Advanced Features" you can set the URL you'd like your buyers to be sent to when their transaction is complete. Is that what you're looking for?

        Or try to baltantly self-promote.

        Then you click a button within Paypal and it will generate the custom code / link for you.

        Have a look at their help features and follow through the steps.

        I believe they do offer value. The point of selling products is to offer a service of need. If someone needs that type of product, why wouldn't you promote it to them. That's the point of products.

        To get more detailed about this post now that I have a few minutes to breath, the issue with using a form to send you customers for payment and then collect the digital download afterwards is that once they get the link, they can share it with whom ever they wish. You also can't track who and when it is downloaded...hense why it's best to use a software system to control the process.

        If your okay the risk associated with not protecting your links, then the answer is to include a return input value on your form...like this:

        <input type='hidden' name='return' value='http://www.yourdomain.com/thankyou.html'>

        It's also best to use the hosted button feature that paypal offers so someone can't copy/alter the form before submitting.

        It would be a disservice not to mention the risk involved with this method.

    Hey Michael,

    What happens if I wanna send the visitors to a download page BUT don't want them to click on 'return to merchant' as a lot of people seem to forget that step which eventually adds up to a lot of support issues and having to manually send them the download link.

    Can they be automatically redirected to a download page as soon as they finish payment?

    Cheers

      There's an option in paypal payment options to switch 'AutoReturn' ON.

        You can log in to your PayPal account and then go to...

        https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/we...bsite-payments

        However, it looks like you can only use one master URL to bypass the "Return to Merchant" button. So, this wouldn't work that well for those of us selling more than one product.

        All the best,
