Backlinking when page is not indexed?

Hey guys,

I have my domain indexed, however I added a new optimized page last week, which has yet to be indexed. Would you guys still send backlinks to that page?

Yes, of course. In fact the backlinking will help with the indexing as well.

Absolutely. It might even help get the page indexed faster, depending on where the links are coming from.

Any idea why you aren't getting indexed in Google right away?
If you submit your page through Bing Webmaster Tools, are your
      pages getting indexed?

 Are you talking about google or bing here:confused: In any event, as of late Google is often taking its sweet time indexing new domains and new pages on existing domains. They operate on their own timetable.

Well the main domain has been indexed, but my most recent post hasn't though. I did submit my page to Google webmaster but haven't done so for Bing yet. It's a new blog I started in september.

I'm waiting to get more traffic before giving it more time such as submitting it to other search engines.

    Awesome, thanks guys!

I thought those were somehow lost backlinks and that in order to have its full impact, I had to wait until It would have been indexed.

LOL, well, I start backlinking sometimes before I build out a blog. But I know that is not the recommended way of doing things.

Backlinks are a good plan. You can also get it indexed fast by backlinking from frequently spidered sites. Squidoo, Twitter, Facebook and such.
