Hi there!

I've heard a lot lately how Facebook advertising is going to surpass Google. What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

dont mind me, im a newb, but for what I've seen most people are leaving certain websites and going directly to facebook.

I think this is very good topic now days. Everyone is talking about Facebook ranks second in terms of traffic. Facebook is social media website where people come to share there thoughts, photos, ideas etc. They are not in a mindset of buying. At Google people goes for searching certain things. They may thinking of buying something. That means they might be in mood of buying. This is the deference between two websites. Now you can tell easily which website is better for advertising or promotion. This my view. What fellow warriors think?

I haven't had any successful campaigns thus far on Facebook. For me and PPC, google is still the best even though it's competitive and thus the pricing is high (I run about $100k / mo on google)...but obviously that brings in in far more than what I spend, otherwise I wouldn't do it.

As point of clarification, my testing on FB has been far less than google obviously by my ad spend, but I did notice that the FB traffic has a very high degree of immediate bounces. It's almost like they click and bounce before the page even finishes loading. Weird

Thanks for your input! Got an email today offering a course and I'm going to be checking it out. I know many who have been kicked off Google for no apparent reason and are searching for an alternative. I know I did right at the beginning of my marketing, and it took a lot to get me back in their good graces.

Would love to hear more people's feedback on Facebook.

      Thanks!

I've spent about a grand testing fb's advertising, and so far it has been less than stellar. I've been displeased with the results I've obtained, especially when compared to the exact same campaign running on google.

All I can figure is that I haven't got the demographics tweaked correctly, but honestly I'm not willing to throw any more money away just to find out.

Don't get so wrapped up in making money that you forget the important things in life.

How are the rates or prices for the FaceBook ads compared to Google's? Also I have heard people have had success with and like Linkedin.com ads. Anyone want to share their experiences?
