Wow. Finally reached my 200th post, so...

In the six years I've been an active member here, I've learned alot from this forum and it's members, so in honor of that, and my 200th post (I know 200 posts in 6 years -- not a whole lot), I thought I would share with you what I do to consistently make money online.

Besides, I've received quite a few pm's recently from people wanting to know what I do.

In a nutshell, I write short, simple, and concise product reviews aimed at the person who has already actually made up his/her mind that they would like to own a particular product, but needs a little extra push to go ahead and buy.

Here's a step-by-step how to:
  1. Sign up to CJ, LinkShare, ShareASale or some other affiliate network.
  2. Pick a merchant that carries a large inventory of any niche product. It doesn't really matter what it is. People are searching every day for all kinds of things. Some types of products are naturally going to be more popular than others, however the way I do it, it doesn't really matter. I've got sites covering everything from vases to fishing lures.
  3. Get a domain and hosting. Install WordPress and choose a theme, or leave the default theme, it's up to you.
  4. Create categories for the products you are going to review. You can either use the merchant's categories, or do a little keyword research and use the keywords you select as your categories.
  5. Go to the merchant's website and select a product.
  6. Copy the product title to the title of your post and add the word "Review" at the end.
  7. Copy the product description and features to notepad and rewrite it. Don't spend all day doing it. Take about 10 minutes and put it in your own words. If you feel you don't have enough information from the merchant then do a search on Amazon and see if you can get more info there to help you finish.
  8. If the product you purchased has any customer reviews, add at the bottom of the post "Real Customer Reviews" with a short blurb of what they said in quotes.
  9. Make sure your affiliate link is located at the top, middle, and bottom of the post, along with a couple of pictures. Link the pictures to the merchant with your affiliate link.
  10. Post it to your site
  11. Create 5-10 backlinks to the article you just posted. It doesn't really matter where. If your review is long enough, spend 10 minutes rewriting it and post it to mulitple article directories. Do a few blog comments, and social bookmark your post to facebook, twitter, etc.
  12. Rinse and Repeat

If you do this 5 times a day for 90 days, you'll have written 450 reviews, and have anywhere from 2,250 to 4,500 backlinks to your site. Do it for the next 6 months and you'll have double that. Do the math.

On average, it takes me about 30-45 minutes to do all of the above for one post. It really depends on how detailed I get in the review. The more expensive a product, the more detail you might want to give to it. But honestly, don't spend too much time doing it.

All we're trying to do is nudge a person who has already made up their mind that they want a product, but are still sitting on the fence about buying it. Just nudge them. They may only need just the slightest push. We do not want to bombard them with information and make their decision any harder.

After you get used to doing this, you should be able to complete 5 posts in 2.5 to 3.5 hours, leaving you with plenty of time to research other niches, build a list, spend time with your family, etc.

And if you start right now, you'll be right on top of the Christmas rush and could very well make a few bucks.

Continue this through 2011, expanding into other niche markets as you feel like it, and you could really rake in the cash during the next Christmas season.

A few final remarks:

There is another marketer that had a really cool name for this type of review (Conduit method I think), but he focused on promoting Clickbank products. I've been doing this now for about 5 years, and it's been pretty successful so far. I have sites I created 5 years ago still making money. Of course, I still add reviews to all my sites occasionally.

These type of reviews are stupid simple to rank for in google since they usually have 60,000 or less competing sites.

I have lost track of the number of posts I have gotten on page 1 just by adding the single word "Review" to the end of the product name, and throwing 5-10-15 backlinks at the post.

Just do it.

Thanks Warriors.

I have 1000's, but I've been working on it for several years now. As for earnings per review, I really couldn't tell you, mainly because I don't have an exact number of how many reviews I've made. I have sold off a few sites here and there because they weren't performing to my expectations.

If the site isn't making $500 / month after a year of steady posting, I usually sell it.

As for how much you can earn per site...

I have some sites earning $500/month and some earning 10 times that. It varies depending on the niche.

I've got a few sites that have under 50 reviews and a lot that have 100's. I've also got 5 or 6 that have 1000's. It all depends on the niche, whether there are a lot of products for it, how new the site is, and how much I'm interested in it.

I continually update. I have the habit of writing 30-40 reviews at a time and then using WordPress's scheduling feature to drip the content onto the site. About 2 or 3 times a month either I or one of my people will backlink the reviews.

Congratulations on finally making it to 200.
LOL, thanks. It took me long enough. I'm usually so busy I don't have enough time to post here. I've been taking it easier for the last couple of weeks though.

I'm not planning on doing this, but I thought considering the part of your post I quoted, it could helpful if you told people what kind of money you're talking about. Is it enough for a full-time income? Is it enough for a car payment? Or is it "walking around" money?
Well it really depends on which niche they choose, how much they backlink, and any other method they use to drive people to the site. If I wanted to make a couple of thousand between now and Christmas, I would find a line of products in the $50-$500 range, do the reviews, and promote and backlink the hell out of them.

Depending on the popularity of the niche, the amount of traffic (ie: people) you can drive to the site, and how well you direct the person to buy, you could easily make a couple of grand by Christmas.

That's great advice! I'm in the process of building some niche sites right now so I'm going to try and practice your teachings

Of course, your mileage and someone else's mileage will vary, but even a vague idea of what kind of income you're talking about could help some folks decide if they want to go into it.

Dennis beat me to my main point, so I won't repeat what he already said.

      I'll just add this...

Many times you can get that little extra touch that sets you apart from all the people who copy Amazon's descriptions, etc. (especially the ones that do it with a plugin or script) by visiting the manufacturer's site. Check the support pages, scan the FAQ, even page through the manual if the price (and commission) warrant it.

Would you give us a sneak peak at one of your sites?

Great post for your 200th celebration by the way!

I would, but the second I do that I'll have 100 or more people to compete against. I may create a new site to show people what I do, depends on my schedule in the next couple of weeks.

Great post for your 200th celebration by the way!
Thanks. I tried to give enough information for people to get started doing this if they were so inclined. Like anything else, it takes work and time to reap the rewards.

Alright just PM me one of your sites, and then you will only have 1 person competing against you to worry about.

        Fair deal? lol.

          LOL.

I may build a site and post it, or a make a video showing how I do build them. It's a pretty easy system to follow and make money with. It really depends on if I can free up a couple of hours in the next few days.

      You're welcome.

And, it cracks me up when people say congratulations on my 200th post. Especially since I've been around for so long. I read WAY more than I post. I'm trying to change that, however I'm finding it kinda difficult to do so. I'm more of a behind the scenes kinda guy.

Besides you have the same number of posts and have been here 6 years less. So congratulations to you too.

    Thanks for the share.

I remember trying out the conduit method on an amazon product a couple of years back. Made less than a $ as commission within a few days. Lol..it was for promoting a less than 7$ kitchen product.

Unlike you, I did not stick with it :-(
